168 Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

I used to be a regular but I moved further away, so I haven't been here in a while. I recently found out that I can get delivery via Doordash, so I ordered from here a couple of weeks ago. I missed their dumplings and they were as good I remember. However, they forgot to include the fried rice with my combination platter. Today I was craving their dumplings again, so I drove 20 minutes to get that and a lunch special. This time they forgot to include the soup that comes with lunch. I wished I had checked the back before I drove the 20 minutes it took to get home, but I should not have to do that. I'm not sure what happened to this place in the last couple of years, but that's twice in a row that they forgot something. Plus, their portion sizes have decreased while their prices have increased. The portion size would not have bothered me so much if they had given me all the items I should have received with my order. Especially since their lunch specials are $2-3 more than most Chinese restaurants in the area and the portions are smaller than other places. I am ordering take out from this restaurant and am sitting here waiting for my order. So, my review is in real time. My order total came out to be $50.08. I'm not exactly sure why so much but, never the less it is what it is. I am noticing that the pleasentry is a little different for me than the Caucasian customer's who came in after me. Approximately 3 separate customers in total. I've never really paid much attention to being treated differently but, in today's climate and being more observant I am noticing a difference. I am giving this establishment 3 stars because the food is quite good. However, I will Never again spend my dollar's at this establishment again. I expect the same greeting and care as other human beings. Simply because, I am human and my money spends the same. I am leaving this establishment a little saddened and once again reminded of the difference in the color of my skin. It is important for people, no matter who they are to remember that everyone has a heart that beats in real time and a heart that can be affected by the action's of others. I am not saying to not eat at this establishment but, I am saying to be mindful of others and how they...

Dinner. Food was very good. Fresh and tasty. Ordered the Eggplant in Garlic sauce. Wife had combo fried rice. Son had beef with broccoli. We all had an "egg" roll and wonton soup. It's a bit pricey for what you get. Portions of the beef and broccoli and the eggplant were decent. However the rice dish, which obviously costs less to prepare, was not as plentiful as I would have expected. Tea cost an extra $1. Thats nominal, but other restaurants offer tea for free quite often. Also, the vegetable egg roll is not an eggroll, it was a spring roll. I don't really care for spring rolls and wouldn't have ordered it if I was properly identified on the menu. Never the less it, like everything else, was fresh, tasty and wasn't at all greasy or saturated in oil. We enjoyed the meal overall. I doubt you'd be disappointed with the quality of your meal.
