On 09/19/2022, my husband and my mother-in-law went shopping for some specific clothing my husband would be needing for a work meeting, they get there somewhere around 10:15ish while there, obviously they find a few things and continue to browse around the men's shoes, when at around 11:07pm, they get approached by a male associate and were told "You do know we're closed, right?". Which obviously they did not because no announcement was made, and keep in mind if you've gone to this burlington, there's an associate literally announcing what seems like every 5-10 minutes for a whole hour when they're closing, a little annoying but they do. Anyways, they mention that no, they did not know they were closed. My mother in law asked that male associate that if he had seen her looking at the perfumes 10min prior, why did he not bring it to her attention? And all he said was "well yeah, we're closed." After that interaction, my family goes ahead and makes their way to the front to the registers to check out. Once there, there's an associate standing there, with a stack of tills out by her register, and she mentions to my mother in law that she can't ring her up/ help her. So mother in law asks where she should go, only to be stared at and told nowhere, they were closed. Confused, my husband and mother-in-law are told that they cannot purchase their items. The manager on duty that night, Anna Lopez provided no options like possibly holding the items for the morning, or any help and again stating because they are closed. (Only one associate spoke up and said that they made an announcement an hour ago. An hour ago?! When my family weren't even in the store shopping yet!) Even if they already had counted out and took out their tills, which again I'm confused why they would even do that with people still inside, clearly didn't do a proper walk through to make sure all customers were out before doing all that, they could've done debits or credit transactions but chose not to. My husband mentions that he was not aware they closed at 11pm, (and might I add since we hardly go, when we do, we go on a either Friday or Saturday when we get out of work and they happen to be open until 12, so automatically, we assume they close at 12 regularly. Our mistake to assume that, but what happened that night that they didn't announce it like they usually do? If the associates had seen my family walking around, why weren't they approached? Why was no customer survice provided to make sure they were finding everything okay and taken that chance to mention what time they closed that night?). Clearly upset, my husband asks Anna for the store Manager's name, (Michelle), and General District Manager name (Matt), and number but Anna refused to provide the number. All they gave him was a receipt paper with corporates number they got off Google. Dissatisfied with this experience my family went through, the next morning (09/20/2022) I called the store to speak with Michelle, was told she was not in. I asked to speak with the manager on duty (Anthony) and was told that he was unavailable, that he was busy unloading trucks and to call back in 2 hours. So I decided to call the customer service number and spoke with Laura, I mentioned everything I'm mentioning here and was told she also she could not provide me with Matt, General District Manager's number but that they would be forwarding my complaint to the team. Honestly, the way the staff handled everything and treated my family reflects poorly on the store manager. Their team needs to be spoken with and trained on proper customer service and...
Read moreI've shopped here a lot since they've opened. In the past 12mos I've had them not remove the security tags on clothing 4 times. Oddly I don't trip the door alarms on the way out. Then when I return to the store to have them remove it I have to wait in the long line that wraps around the socks slippers and gadgets and what nots. some times it like 45mins or an hour before I get to the cashier. I've also went there and wanted to exchange items that didn't fit one of my children and they've told me the item is not on the receipt when that's the only receipt I have because I haven't been there in a couple of months. I've also bought some boots there for me and my boyfriend. His boots were too tight on his foot and i lost the tag so they refused to take them back because they couldnt locate them on the receipt. The gentleman that was the supervisor told me the only shoes on my receipt was a white wedge. I didn't buy and white shoes or wedges. His were tan lugz work style boots and I had 2 pairs of black boots one leather above the knee boots and one suede below the knee. one of my 2 pairs I got didn't come with a tag but they had a sticker on the bottom. Also the left the security tag on my boots. they told me they couldn't take them back either because I didn't have a tag but they rang me up for them some how. I went home and cut the tag off my boots and checked the tag on the boots i kept. I also doscovered the tag on the bottom of the boots i wanted to return. She rang me up for some 49.99 boots at 39.99. I had to dig through the trash to find my boyfriends tag to his boots. When I found it I realized his tan lugz said WHT wedge on the tag. So I returned a few days later and exchanged the items for something different stuff. I love the designer purse selection. It would be awesome if they'd have sales on purses or put them on clearance. I don't think I've ever seen purses on...
Read moresome white bearded man made such a seen when i asked two lady’s if i could get in between them ( the one in front and back) they kindly said yes that it was fine, i only had to check out one item and it was a pair of heels for my prom that was in about 30 mins because the heels i was already planning to wear broke off once i started walking, the man rudely yelled at me for supposedly “cutting” i tried to explain the situation i was in and he proceeded to tell me what about the people in the back of the line actually waiting. ( the line was a 45 min wait with only him being the cashier) i get that he’s doing his job completely understandable but it had me in tears having to call me out in front of the whole store and to be humiliated when he could’ve kindly asked someone to come up to me and let me know. many ways he could’ve approached the situation i felt like i was more of an adult to just leave the things and walk out but the man kept on telling the shoppers in his cashier how stupid, selfish, and embarrassing i was, he kept on laughing while i was on my way out with my mom and it hurt me so much because it was just a 1 minute thing maybe even less to get checked out plus the yelling across the store letting everyone know had me so disappointed , ive already struggled enough growing up with anxiety, and learning how to speak to others without making myself uncomfortable. but sadly that same adult man ruined the opportunity of me going to my first school dance and first ever school event because of how bad my anxiety got from the situation i had a panic attack on my way out and it never got better by the time i needed to start heading to my...
