Read moreLet me start by saying: I don’t typically go out of my way to leave negative reviews. I understand mistakes happen, especially in the food industry — but this experience was so completely mishandled, inconsiderate, and frustrating that it deserves to be called out in full.
I placed a pickup order through DoorDash — a normal, everyday thing that people do with this restaurant all the time. I got the confirmation, everything seemed good to go, and I made the drive 7 miles across town to pick up my food. I have a full schedule, a family to feed, and like most people, I don’t have time to waste. But I figured it would be a quick in-and-out trip. Instead, I got the complete opposite.
When I got to the Buffalo Wild Wings on Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley, I walked in expecting to grab my order and head home. But I was met with blank stares and confusion. After waiting for someone to even acknowledge me, I was casually told that my order had been canceled.
Canceled? When? Why? How? I received no notification, no update, no call, no text, not even a message in the DoorDash app. Just absolutely no communication whatsoever.
What’s worse is how the staff handled it — or more accurately, how they didn’t. No apology. No empathy. No attempt to fix the issue. Just a disinterested “Yeah, it got canceled” like it was no big deal. Meanwhile, I’m standing there having wasted my time, my gas, and my evening because this location couldn’t be bothered to communicate a basic order update.
This wasn’t a minor inconvenience. This was a complete breakdown in customer service, professionalism, and basic courtesy. In what world is it okay to cancel someone’s order without notifying them — especially when they’ve already driven a decent distance to pick it up? It’s 2025 — we have apps, phones, emails, push notifications. Use them. There’s no excuse for leaving a customer in the dark like that.
And let me be very clear — this wasn’t a third-party issue. The cancellation came from the restaurant’s end. And if that’s the case, then it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to own that and make it right. Instead, I got brushed off and sent home empty-handed like I was the one causing a problem.
If this location can’t be trusted to handle something as simple as a pickup order — let alone have the decency to inform customers when there’s an issue — then what does that say about how they run the rest of their business?
I won’t be giving this place another chance, and I suggest others think twice before placing any sort of remote order with them. There are plenty of better-run spots in Apple Valley that actually value your time and money.

Read moreI have mixed feelings about this review, so I'll start with the good. Their wings are delicious.
We've had a gift card for years but never used it because the location where we used to live was narrow and the noise from the crowds' watching games on TV was more than we could handle. Being in a new area, we found one with a better setup. At the door we were asked if we'd like to take a seat in the bar area, so we did. We waited, and waited, and waited. It's not that we were ignored, a server never showed up. No one around us was being taken care of. Each time we saw someone at the computer putting in an order we'd hope it was our server, but they'd run to their station in the dining area. We said we wanted out of the bar, they seemed beside themselves about whose turn it was. Advised of the missing bar server, the person looked around and said, "Hmmm"
It did get better from there. Our server was polite, attentive, and we were surprised how good the wings are, and we're picky when it comes to our wings. Another thing that was outstanding that we didn't expect, is their coleslaw was out of this world.
The next time we tried Buffalo Wild Wings was a pick order. We didn't get a deal that included coleslaw, so we asked to order it on the side. Apparently, they don't offer it as a side order and weren't sure what to do. They wound up giving us some, which was nice, but we had a good laugh when we got home and found there were barely two bites that sat at the bottom of the to-go box. Uh, thanks guys.
The third try was a delivery. Again, the wings were great. I tried the rub for the first time, which I wasn't wild about, but it's a matter of taste and not anything wrong with it. This time our meal came with the coleslaw (yes, it was that good we were excited) but once again we had to laugh at the absurdity. There was no sauce, and I mean none whatsoever. We literally got a cup of ground cabbage. I love cabbage, but... How can they make that mistake?
Hey BWW! Keep up the great work on those delicious wings, but get someone to work the bar area and what is the deal with...
