I have been going to this grocery store for a number of years. Always a good selection and what had been fair prices. Now I need to comment. Prices on almost everything have risen considerably. I would still shop here for many of my items as it is convenient for me but recently it has been getting more and more difficult to get help with someone to help pack my groceries. LOts of people to help show you how to check your self out; and also many lanes if I would be willing to pack my own. Could I do my own, yes. But since I am paying a premium price for many items I appreciate having someone pack my groceries for me. I expect “some” service for the price I am paying for convenience. I shopped for weekly groceries today. There were 6 check-outs going, only one would help you pack your groceries. The packer was working like crazy to try to keep up with the number of people in this line. At times the check out people in other lanes were not busy but did they offer to get someone to pack for me and check me out—NO. CUSTOMER SERVICE-NO SERVICE. I can go right down the street to “Pick ‘n Save” and not have this issue. Guess you are telling me it’s time to...
Read moreThe Festival Foods that I put the rating on here is for the store on Northland Ave. in Appleton WI. The one on Van Roy Rd in Appleton WI is the one you need to be a little watchful at when you go through the line where they bag. I caught the bagger wanting to put my egg noodles on the bottom of the paper bag I requested. Then put on top my onions and potatoes, plus my sour cream, and celery/carrots in a package. I'm like ah no. You put the base stuff in first. Sour cream, carrots/celery then potatoes and onions, with the noodles on top. He's like oh. Wish I had caught him earlier. He put my poor shredded cheese on the bottom of the paper bag with canned goods on top. Guess from now on I will go to bag my own groceries lane. I hate the self checkout lanes, cause half the time something goes through and doesn't register and sets off the help here wanted light. So better to do lane with actual person...
Read moreTheir organization is messy. People have to search all over the store for one item here and one there, even if they are items that should be sold together. One of the first items/aisles they have are dog food, right as you walk in...really, that is that is going to be people's main focus as they walk in? Nope...if we had a dog, I still don't want to see that as the thing they put in the faces of people coming in. It's a grocery store not a pet store. I came in looking for butter one day and found they have more cottage cheese options and weird sounding nshit, that even I , educated and loving variety would never buy. Ever. But I could not find the butter which was not listed under the dairy section signs. When I have to ask for something, even the workers have to ask someone else half the time. It is bogus. I would not give them a star if I did not have to have to have one...
