Last night we ventured out to Appleton and tried Draft Gastropub. Right away there was a higher end feel when you walked in. All of the staff was dressed in long sleeve dress shirts with ties and Management was in full suits. For drinks, we had the Smoking Gun (Bulliet Bourbon, Aperol, Orange Bitters) and Lavender Haze (Butteefly Tito’s Vodka, Lavender Syrup, Bauchant Lemon). The drinks were brought to us and the presentation was outstanding. The Smoking Gun, had been smoked and covered which was not uncovered until presented to you. The Lavender Haze had a fun smoke bubble on top of the drink. Both drinks were great and so different from the other. The smoky flavor in the Smoking Gun was pronounced throughout the whole drink, from start to finish. The Lavender Haze was light and sweet. We then ordered for an appetizer, Candied Bacon which came with a maple truffle aioli. We debated getting it due to not liking truffle, but boy are we glad we did. The bacon is like a medium thick cut bacon that has the most delicious and sweet concoction baked onto it. The maple truffle aioli was a delicious sweet glaze that you could dip the bacon in. 10/10 would come back just for the bacon. For dinner we ordered Chardonnay-Lobster Scallops and Brown Butter Filet Mignon. Both were cooked to absolute perfection. The Chardonnay-Lobster Scallops was such a great combination. The Rissoto that came with it, unfortunately was kind of blah and needed salt. The seasonal vegetables (green beans and carrots) were undercooked, with some actually being raw still. The Brown Butter Filet Mignon was wrapped in bacon. I ordered it medium and the meat melted in your mouth. The filet had a very strong smoked flavor, which I’m not sure if that was from the bacon or the filet. The filet was unfortunately very under seasoned, if it had any at all. I think if it had been given some salt and pepper during the cooking phase it would have really taken it to another level. The potatoes (Pomme de Terre) were like if someone took mashed potatoes and chopped potatoes and combined them and added cheese. They were different, it wasn’t like a lumpy mashed potato it was really like they combined two different kinds of potatoes together . The seasonal vegetables again were undercooked. After dinner an espresso martini was ordered. It was strong and how an espresso martini should taste. Overall this place is great for a date night. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation though, because otherwise you will probably be waiting, as there were several people waiting when we showed up for our reservation. We will definitely come back here to try some more things. I also decided that I need a smoke bubble gun for home 🤣 Give us a follow @gbdiningdykes on Instagram

The only reason I gave the service 3 is because the older guy in a suit that greeted us and went to seat us made is feel as if we were an in convenience to him. He took us to a small table in the back area in the middle of the room. We asked for a different table and he made that feel like it was an unreasonable request. We asked about several tables which he told us he said he wouldn't be able to seat us at. 10 minutes later a waitress went to seat a different couple at the table we had asked not to sit at and they also asked for a different table. The waitress pointed out the 3 tables we had asked about and were told no. So not sure why it was not a problem for her to seat this couple at those tables but it was for him. Got everything started off on the wrong foot. The food was really good for the most part. My wife had the sirloin taco and lobster taco and I had the shrimp tacos. All of them were really good except the lobster taco. The meat in it was terrible neither of us could eat it. It tasted like old fish with no lobster flavor at all. All the othere ones were really great. Also our waiter was really good. Had the service continued how it started we would have passed on the food and left to go somewhere else. Happy our waiter was mich better then the older guy that sat us. I really cant get over how unpleasant he made the start of our experience. Had it not been for him it would have been a great experience from start to finish. Will go back l, just hope we dont have to have him seat us. He really doesn't understand the concept of guest service. The bam bam shrimp and lobster bisque was cook. The shrimp tacos were really good, the sirloin taco was great. The lobster taco was terrible, extremely fishy and neither of us could eat it. My wife also had the creme brulee which she also really liked.

Once upon a midnight dreary, I found myself within the hallowed halls of the Draft Gastropub, a sanctuary of culinary delight. Oh, the fateful evening where the tomahawk steak, a monstrous cut of meat, graced my plate! How it gleamed with a succulent allure, each bite a rapture of flavors so profound that I nearly wept. It was a testament to the chefs' infernal skills, leaving me in a state of euphoric bewilderment. The mashed potatoes, oh, the mashed potatoes! They were a velvety cloud of perfection, kissed by the angels of butter and herbs. Beside them, vegetables danced in harmonious concord, cooked to a divine tenderness that even the spirits of old would envy. And the fillet! Ah, the fillet! Cooked to order, it was a symphony of texture and taste, neither too grand nor too slight, but the perfect size to satisfy both hunger and soul. It was a meal fit for a king, or perhaps, a humble poet seeking solace in the embrace of good food. The fries, those golden strings of onion, were crisp and delightful, each morsel a whisper of crispy delight that lingered on the tongue like a ghostly lover. The bartender, a maestro of libations, moved with a fervor that rivaled the spirits of the damned, yet with a grace that left our party of twenty in awe. Drinks flowed like the rivers of Hades, swift and bountiful, leaving us in a state of jubilant glow. Ah, the Draft Gastropub! A place where culinary dreams are woven into reality, where the shadows of hunger are banished by the light of exquisite dining. It was an evening to remember, a feast that will haunt my taste buds forevermore. Quoth the raven, "Evermore."

Always awesome food and great portions, aside from the appetizers, but those are usually small everywhere. The waitress we had was so nice and helpful. And patient when I couldn't decide what I wanted 🙃🙃 We got the Thai Chicken and Waffle Sandwich and the Margherita Pizza and they were SO good. The Thai Chicken and Waffle Sandwich was such a weirdly delicious combination. The Thai flavors mixed with the peanut sauce mixed with the sweetness of the waffle was just *chef's kiss*. Plus the waffle was like just the right amount of crispy to go with the texture of the chicken and toppings. Highly recommend. The sweet potato fries that we got with it were really good taste-wise, but were pretty soggy. Still 10/10. The Margherita Pizza was SO GOOD. The crust was just the right amount of crispy so you're not breaking your teeth on it, but it's still got that nice crunch to it. The fresh mozzarella was bomb, although they could've put slightly more on to even the slices out. The balsamic they used isn't the typical flavor you get with these kinds of pizzas. It was definitely a balsamic, but with a sweet taste to it instead of the normal acidity. Super good on the pizza, although personally, they could've gone a little easier on the sweet and left a bit more acid to keep that traditional flavor and balance it out. But even with that, 10 OUT OF 10 WOULD RECOMMEND 😌😌

Food: The presentation was very nice. The blackened grouper with shrimp and grits was good. The two shrimp on top were especially flavorful. The grits “patty” was decent. Yet, after three bites, I might have preferred the traditional soft grits. The blackened grouper tacos were flavorful & very good. Each person at the table kept asking for another bite of that dish. The bourbon salmon was nicely done. The vegetables were VERY crunchy (almost to the point that the person with this dish wondered if they were cooked at all) but the flavor of the sauce made the overall dish fine. Silverware: Great quality, nice & heavy Service: Polite, to-the-point. Back once to ask how things were, filled water at very end when we were finished with the meal Bathroom: Modern. Clean. Two stalls, one sink. One stall had latch troubles. Physical Menu: Presented in large heavy covers. Completely clean! (Sounds odd to say, but this is a rarity) Overall Cleanliness & Atmosphere: Nice. (Except for the glued-on cabinet handle in the bathroom) Cushioned enough that the people at our table didn’t need to speak loudly to each other to be heard. I appreciate that the music was not overwhelming. We had to be seated at a highboy because nothing else was available (regular height must have been for those with reservations) Would I go back? Yes!

Went for a company lunch and was extremely surprised with the price point to quality and presentation ratio. The food was delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. The menu is super limited if you're looking for comfort food. This place pushes the average taste-buds with unique flavor pairings and ingredients. I, personally, didn't find much I'd be willing to try. (I just have my own issues with many foods that can make going out difficult) I did want to push myself, so I did try the deep fried calamari appetizer and chose their chicken and waffles sliders as I had never had chicken and waffles before. (Which I loved!) If you have picky eaters in your dinner party, I'd suggest looking at their online menu first to see what they offer. Their website is also visually appealing and easy to navigate! I enjoyed their "about the restaurant" section including the inspirations for the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone I know who is able to be more adventurous with food than I!!!! Well worth the price point to quality, quantity and presentation! Thank you for the great experience!
