Full disclosure: The owner of this gym is someone I know from high school. Although we weren't as close of friends then, I felt that it was still necessary to be transparent.
When it comes to reviewing places of business unrelated to food, reviews can be a bit more definitive because there are standards which aren't as relative (taste, personal preferences). Specifically, when it comes to CrossFit, there are standards in which the coaches must be certified to meet. However, they're not regulated once they get their certification (and there are CrossFit gyms/"boxes" out there that don't really push those standards). Fortunately, the guys here at Reason do.
Eric and Ibby are the two coaches who started this box. Eric's CrossFit experience extends to his time as a personal trainer prior to starting this box and that experience really helps each individual member as Eric is able to spot issues, ask real questions about a person's physical limits, and modify the workouts as necessary without sacrificing the proper form for the exercises. As someone who only recently became involved in cross training physical fitness, this was immensely helpful for me as I was unaware of how immobile my body was when it came to certain movements. Eric spotted it quickly and has worked with me to push my body efficiently and safely. The programming will also challenge you no matter what your strengths and weaknesses are. They are varied to push all aspects of fitness - strength, conditioning, aerobic, and anaerobic functions.
Overall, I've been thoroughly satisfied in what I've learned and the results that I've achieved with Eric and Ibby's help in just the three months I've been training with them. I'm not the only who has noticed as well as friends who I play basketball with have noted that I've become more mobile and better due to increased quickness and strength.

Read moreI’ve always enjoyed working out, but realized I wasn’t very effective with my trainings at the gym. I became incredibly winded after a hike with my friends - to the point where my parents asked, “don’t you work out every day? How can you be so tired?” that I decided I needed to change up my routine and do something else in order to become stronger.
I decided to search online and stumbled upon Reason Fitness - not knowing that it was a CrossFit gym. I took a chance, made the plunge - and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love the people, the coaches, the workout - the encouraging environment. Every workout is different. You learn a ton of skills, become stronger in areas you didn’t think was possible. And ultimately become a healthier version of yourself. I come in, dedicate an hour or so to my fitness, and can leave knowing that I put my all into that hour.
Highly recommend giving this gym a try. If you’re a beginner, advanced, introverted or extroverted - you definitely won’t regret doing this!

This year particularly has been big for me because I finally found a rhythm for consistency that I have not found for years before. The main avenue that allowed me to find that was that Reason Fitness adapted its services to offer personal training as well!
It may seem like a small thing, but that gave me the flexibility to make it work and set goals to show up in ways that I practically could throughout the week!
I’ve transitioned mostly back into classes and have rediscovered my love for the gym community! Something I appreciate is how diverse both the coaching staff and the community are in drawing people from all walks of life to prioritize health and wellness together!
This gym stood the test of time and survived the pandemic through its resilience and adaptability. But even more than that, the coaches, leadership and community as a whole are all passionate about health and wellness which will continue to drive community wellness forward.
