Flea Market — Local services in Archdale

Went here with a friend and we were a bit overwhelmed. We both were curious as to what was in this building as its been there forever and always has stuff put outside for sale.

Wow. There is SO much stuff cram packed into that building, its really hard to see what is there or move around. Literally peered through bookshelves to see things in hidden areas on the other side that you couldn't get to. Stuff stacked from floor to ceiling and tiny pathways through the store front to back. Nothing had prices. The entire back room was full of piles and piles of clothing.

We purchased 3 things. The lady had to call people to get the prices. The cake plate that my friend wanted, the lady on the phone wanted to charge her $15 for it. That and a bird feeder the lady said was new, wanted a lot for it as well. We managed to haggle down the prices.

I can only imagine that a lot of things in that building probably haven't see the light of day in many many many years. We both asked ourselves - how would they get that item out from all of this... looking at a sleigh bed frame and bunk bed. They'd literally have to move half the store out to be able to get it out. Some of the furniture outside looked like some broken furniture I had seen on the side of the road. Lots of random things inside from furniture, to appliances, to pads and tampons, clothing and mismatched shoes. Some items looked sort of new like they had never been taken out of the box.

Bought a pretty good looking coffee table. Just need the dust to be wiped off. Started cleaning it when I got home but it was not dust. Dried wood stain. The finish of the coffee table was half scratched/rub off but they did not remove it before adding the stain.
