The Wet Whistle Co — Restaurant in Archdale

I found this place online and wanted to check it at. We walked in and two girls were working behind the counter. We ask names after but Lilly was making something for what looked to be friends at the counter. She looked at my wife said nothing, just looked and away. The girl at the register was trying to decide how to charge for two glasses of wine. We got to the register to order and Alyela waited on us. She gave me a look like why are you here. I ask her if they were open, without thought she said "we are now". It seemed like she didn't want to take my order. "Just the look on her face". I then ask her if we were welcome. She said " of course. She took our order an espresso and cappuccino. My wife paid cash. Alyela just walked to the back didn't ask if wanted a receipt or anything. Lilly the walked over and ask to take our order. Alyela said nothing about taking the order or that we paid to her coworker. Lilly then came over ask to take our order, we said we already gave the order, then she ask if we paid. Lilly then went to get the information from Alyela. My wife then ask for a receipt. I would have given this place 5 stars if their coffee was actually good. They have great customer service, they make my drink right every time. They even top off my lattes with whipped cream when is melts from me being slow picking up my mobile orders!! However I’ve never been happy with their drinks. They are made right, they just taste so weird. Either it’s wayyy too sweet or it taste like burnt coffee/expresso or in some cases I get both of those unpleasant factors. It could just be their recipe idk I just know I can’t ever finished my drinks bc I don’t like them enough after like 6 sips. And I’ve tried several different things from lattes to blended to iced (to cut the sweet/burnt flavor). I’ve tried their specialty drinks too and pretty much every different type of coffee drink I’ve tried at this place. This could just be me, so don’t knock it till you try it, bc like I said everything outside of that is great. Plus it could just be their style of coffee/espresso that I PERSONALLY have an issue with and I’m okay with that being. The case. Stopped in at the Wet Whistle today for a coffee while passing through the area. What a wonderful shop, more than what you would expect. Many beverage options to choose from and the staff really does a great job pulling your order together. Today was a bit business due to I guess the furniture market going on in High Point. Prices are great, the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. There is outside seating and the staff are all so very friendly. You should stop in and Wet your Whistle here if you are in town. Take time to enjoy the ambiance while your selection is be carefully crafted. Oh wait, get her baked goods, so so good, almost left off this review.
