The Dugout — Restaurant in Archdale

They are rude and in my opinion the way they run their business and treat their customers is pretty much unethical.

My in laws placed a very simple delivery order....1 large hamburger pizza, 1 large bacon pizza and 25 wings. Our order arrived and our family dug in. My wife grabs a slice of bacon pizza, takes one bite and immediately spits it out. Asked me to come check it out saying she thought something was wrong with the bacon; it tasted horrible. Upon inspecting it I came to the conclusion that it was turkey bacon.

My brother in law contacted the store and spoke to the lady who took the order who passed the call of to their "so called manager." My brother in law explained that we weren't aware that when we ordered a bacon pizza that it would come with turkey bacon and that no one in our family eats or even likes turkey bacon and requested that they replace the turkey bacon pizza with another hamburger pizza and even offered to bring the pizza to the store instead of the delivery guy having to make another trip out.

The manager was rude and blamed us. Said that we should have read the menu because it clearly stated that it was turkey bacon. My brother in law tried again to reason with this fool and explained that at the time we placed our order we didn't have a menu and we weren't told we wouldn't be getting real bacon.

The manager refused to do anything to fix the situation and wanted to proceed with a yelling match. No mind you we just spent $40 with them. Ultimately the manager got pissed off and literally hung up on my brother in law.

My wife and my brother in law decided to take the pizza back to them and demand another or a refund as we hadn't touched the pizza minus the one bite that was spit out. When they arrived at the store the manager still wanted to blame them even after showing them on the menu we got when our order was delivered that no where does it state that they only have turkey bacon. Just bacon.

The lady working in the store said that because of the owner/manager's religious beliefs they only use turkey bacon. To me and my family this was almost insulting. I mean I am not a believer in using anyone religion against them, but to force your beliefs upon others isn't right either.

We eat pork, your in America and at the very least you should inform patrons of any changes you decide to make to your products or services based on your beliefs and give us the same rights you wish to have in making a decision based on facts.

And to make matters even worse they ended up calling the police on my wife and brother in law as if we were some sort of criminals or something. Really? Get a grip people. This was by far the absoulte worse customer service experience I have ever encountered and I nor anyone I know will ever spend another penny...

I have never eaten there,, but I can tell management could do better.. Dugout delivery driver was out on a call,, I don't know why he needed to stop,, but he pulled off the road,, in my front yard... We have had a lot of rain,, so he just about got stuck and spun his tires and made about a 10 inch deep grove about 20 ft. Long !! I will have to repair it before mowing season !! There is no way a mower can mow over it !! I am retired and live on a limited income, and I will have to do the repairs myself.. I need a knee replacement so I know what kind of extra pain this will do for me !! Called management and they say they are not responsible for their drivers !! He should have went to a parking lot or pulled into the driveway !! But no !! Now I have to pay for monetary wise and pain wise for their actions.. !! Do you think they care ?? No,, with the rest of the reviews,, maybe they will go out of business !! They have my name and phone # so they know who I am !! Fast forward to 3-10-25,, I have done my very best to work with these people every way I can to get this problem fix to no end !! I will be sueing for the full 10,000 because of all the aggravation these people have put me through !! You can't just destroy people's property with our fixing it !! The man who owns the car that did the damage to my yard came out and took a picture of my driveway and house but no pictures of the damage to my yard !!! HOW CREEPY IS THAT ??? AND THERE IS NO WAY IN H_ _ L,,,HE COULD HAVE NOT SEEN THE DAMAGE THAT IS IN MY YARD !! MOWING SEASON RIGHT HERE OWN US NOW !!! I WILL SEE YOU IN COURT,,,,WALID...

My parents have lived in the area for 17yrs and I have never had a issue with their food before. I ordered tonight to feed my mom and kids and was served RAW chicken wings. I ate two that seemed a little undercooked but the wing that I gave my 16month old was RAW!! I called to let them know I was bringing the wings back and the girl that answered the phone acted like she didn’t know what to do and tried to get the manager on to speak with me but I told them I was on my way up there to show them. There was another gentlemen there picking his order up and I’m assuming the manager didn’t want him to hear that I was served RAW chicken wings. She immediately pulled me to the side and said “when we are busy, we cook all the wings at once and sometimes the fat ones don’t get done all the way.” That statement alone let me know that this isn’t the first time it’s happened. I suggested cooking their wings in smaller batches…she said “well then you’ll have to wait” OK! I would rather wait a few extra minutes than be served RAW CHICKEN WINGS! She then proceeds to take my plate of raw wings back to the cook, he touched the raw wing that my daughter had been slobbering on, DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS, and then continued to drop new wings down AND cook someone else’s order. I asked if he touched the wing, because I was watching, and she said yes. I told her I wanted my money back and she did give it to me but this does not excuse POOR FOOD HANDLING AND SERVING RAW...
