I would give this DMV no stars if possible. I would recommend going to any other DMV in Virginia before this one. For a year, I was unable to get my car registered because every time I went in the employees (including management) said I needed different paperwork. I had probably 7 different appointments and each time I was told I needed something different from what I was told the last time. I spent almost a year going back and forth with them, my car title company, jumping through hoops for notarized documents and other ârequiredâ documents. Each time I asked âafter I get this, is this all youâll need from me?â To which EACH TIME they said âyesâ. The last time I went and they told me they required âone more documentâ from my loan company and I was so frustrated I decided to go to another DMV all together.
Yesterday I went to the DMV in Woodbridge and I wish I could go back to last year and start there. I handed the worker the packet of paper work Iâve accumulated over the past year and she looked through it and replied âIâm sorry but you donât need ANY OF THIS.â And I was able to get my car registered and the title signed over to me right there.
So the DMV in Arlington wasted a year of my time for no reason other than they donât know how to do their jobs. I was charged late registration fees on my vehicle because they swore they couldnât register it without 30 separate documents.
Literally just go anywhere else. Any other DMV. Save yourself...

We were there at least five minutes before our appointment time and patiently waited at the long line. When we approached the window, the staff was unhappy and rude because she called our number twice, and our appointment was the last one of the day. The staff apparently was ready to go home and not wanted to take another road test, therefore the male staff asked us to provide document that was not required by Virginia regulation - we were asked to provide certification of our valid foreign drivers license, which has dual languages including English, from Embassy. I was there today when I arrived it was ten people in front of me When was my turn the clerk say you neeed to have your business card to probe is my business,the driver license and credit card business wasn't enough, in less than two minutes my friend gave me my business card an the clerk refused to proces my application, he want me to make my line again, The manager came with poor actitud worst than the clerk, even the people was on line told the clerk to take mi application everybody was disappointed with the poor use of common sense, no wonder why they have very poor attention, looks like they are working in wrong place, they should fine another job if don't have a positive actitud to deal...
