My recent visit to Fire Works Pizza presented a mixed palette of impressions, blending the delight of savoring good pizza with considerations that extended beyond the culinary experience. Nestled in a vibrant atmosphere, Fire Works Pizza beckons patrons with the promise of artisanal pies and a cozy interior.
Starting on a positive note, the pizza at Fire Works lived up to its reputation. The artisanal touch was evident in both the crust and toppings, delivering a delightful blend of flavors that satisfied the discerning pizza enthusiast. The menu's diversity allowed for exploration, showcasing a commitment to quality ingredients and skilled craftsmanship in the art of pizza-making.
The interior ambiance further added to the positive dining experience. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with tasteful décor, created a welcoming setting for patrons. The well-designed space contributed to an enjoyable and comfortable environment, enhancing the overall dining journey.
However, certain considerations tempered the positive elements of the visit. The state of the restroom facilities was a notable concern, as cleanliness fell below the standard expected for a dining establishment of this caliber. Maintaining pristine restroom conditions is essential for a satisfactory dining experience, and addressing this aspect would significantly enhance the overall impression of the venue.
Another noteworthy aspect was the need for improved ventilation. While the interior ambiance was pleasant, ensuring better air circulation could contribute to a more comfortable atmosphere. Enhancing ventilation is particularly relevant in venues where the aromas of freshly baked pizza are central to the experience, as it can prevent any lingering scents and improve the overall dining environment.
In conclusion, Fire Works Pizza in Clarendon offers a commendable pizza experience with a diverse menu and a welcoming interior. While the pizza craftsmanship and ambiance contribute positively to the dining journey, addressing concerns about restroom cleanliness and ventilation would further elevate the overall experience. It is my hope that these considerations are taken into account, ensuring Fire Works Pizza continues to be a sought-after destination for pizza enthusiasts seeking a well-rounded...
Read moreToday was our second time coming here. We came a few weeks ago for my mom’s birthday & my friend decided to celebrate her birthday here as well. My friend had made the reservation for 12:30pm. We arrived at 12:39pm & they STILL didn’t even have our table ready. While we waited, I asked the hostess if she could keep our cake chilled that I had brought for my friend. She said “Sure.” And placed it in the cooler behind her. Nothing else was said regarding the cake. We were a party of 11 people, even though the restaurant wasn’t even that crowded they sat us in the corner & we had to ask for an extra table/chair so we’d all actually fit. Seeing that my friend had a “Birthday Girl”sash on, before we even got our first round of food, they brought her a dessert with a candle on it. We all thought it was a bit odd because no one ask for it and hadn’t even started eating our main meal for them to have brought it but hey we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Once we finished eating, we grabbed the cake I had brought & we sang & cut the cake. When I asked our waiter for plates she proceeded to say “Oh you guys didn’t tell me there was a cake. We’re going to have to charge you $15 for bringing outside food.” I proceeded to explain to her that NO ONE, not even the hostess told us it would be an extra charge. I could tell she was getting frustrated and tried to explain that all restaurants always have this policy. I told her that wasn’t true because we have been to other restaurants that haven’t charged us for bringing a cake. I assumed she told her manager because once I asked for the check she told me that she didn’t charge the $15 and that they took off the birthday dessert as well. WE DIDN’T EVEN ASK FOR HER BIRTHDAY DESSERT AND YOU GUYS WERE GOING TO CHARGE US FOR IT???? HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE??? When I got home, I checked your website and the reservation link, NO WHERE ON THERE DOES IT SAY THERE IS A $15 CHRAGE FOR A CAKE. If you guys are going to charge extra for things one you should ask before bringing it out and two have it posted somewhere on your website. I don’t think I will be...
Read moreI want to love Fire Works Pizza. I do. The food IS good. The place is family friendly (generally) and you can usually get in and out pretty quick.
BUT do not expect them to make any kind of adjustment to the way they cook the food. And I'm not saying unreasonable adjustments, I'm talking any adjustment.
We used to go to Fire Works Pizza every other Friday. My son is lactose intolerant and so we would order a gluten free pizza with "light cheese." That's the only tweak we made to a gluten free, pepperoni pizza. And every time, it came out with a very normal amount of cheese. We watched to see if the wait staff were putting in the request and they were. It wasn't the wait staff's fault. It was the kitchen.
I also used to get a steak fajita salad. It's delicious and very close to being one of my favorite salads at a restaurant. Every time they would ask me how I would like the steak cooked, I would ask for Medium and clarify that it's because I was giving my 1 year old daughter some steak and she can't yet have undercooked food.
Every single time, it came out VERY medium rare. I mean, pretty rare for this steak-loving Texan who would otherwise never order a steak done medium.
Why ask if the kitchen is going to do whatever they want anyways?
So we stopped going. It just wasn't worth the hassle of pulling cheese off of a pizza and trying to cut the cooked parts of a steak for my daughter to eat. We would both walk away still hungry.
Is the food good? Yep. If you order exactly what they have exactly as they want to make it. Is the service good? Wait staff is great. Will we go back? Nope.
And that's unfortunate. But maybe other people are experiencing the same and that's why it was slow all the...
