A family favorite. We go here frequently because the food is delicious and the service is great. There’s free parking nearby and it’s a warm and comfortable environment. From the many times we’ve gone, we always left happy and satisfied. This time I had kao klook (always pleases), while my son had the Kai klur fried rice.
Love this place. I don’t think I’ve ever had something I didn’t completely enjoy. I appreciate there’s plenty of parking nearby and the staff are always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. And the food is delicious. This last time I had the larb chicken and Tom Kha gai. My son had the Kao klook, and wife the summer rolls.
I never get tired of this restaurant. There's plenty of nearby parking. The location is great. The staff is friendly. The environment is very comfortable and relaxing. And the food is fantastic. I have no-kidding probably tried at least half of the menu and have never been disappointed. Always walking out with true satisfaction. This last trip my wife had the summer rolls (one of her go-to items), while I had the Tom Kha ga ( so delicious) and the kao klook.
The food here is always delicious. The flavor profiles are spot on. The amount of spice or heat is perfect (based on your request). And the portions are just right. If you plan to go, there is a sizable parking lot about two blocks away, and some limited street parking nearby. The service is always great, with friendly and attentive staff. The setting is casual, with different themes in the restaurant. If you bring that someone special, it’s a great date night spot. On this visit I had the Tom Kha ga soup, which is so good, and the yun ner (spicy beef salad), finding this was a perfect meal for me.
One of our favorite restaurants. The food is consistently delicious. There’s parking relatively nearby which makes it convenient. The service is always very good and the food is consistently delicious. With a nice setting, there’s no reason to not give this place a try. This time I had the pineapple fried rice. My wife had the angel eggplant and son the boat noodle soup. I love their food.
Continue to love this place. The food and service are consistently good. As mentioned before, the atmosphere is comfortable and good for hanging out with friends or taking someone on a date. Lighting is good, and there’s parking ~150 yards away. This time I’ve tried the sesame green beans (delicious) as an appetizer. For dinner I had the Kai klur fried rice, my wife her favorite (angel eggplant), and son the panang curry.
Since finding this place I’ve become a regular. The food is consistently delicious. There’s nearby parking about 150 yards away so not too inconvenient. It’s by the courthouse so be prepared to pay for daytime parking, but the food is worth it. Service is always great and we are made to feel comfortable. The setting is interesting with different themes. Pretty cool. This last time we had pad si ew (good but perhaps could be better), yellow chicken curry (absolutely delicious), and red curry (also so delicious).
We’ve gone a times in the last week. Everything has been great. Service. Food. Service. I’ve tried to get something different each time to share my experience. The interior is a bit eclectic but still very warm, comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. The last two days I tried several appetizers and main dishes. All great. The summer rolls, Kao klook, and chicken curry puffs are all fantastic. The moo yang, mango chicken, and angel chicken are all so delicious.
Just found this place and so glad I did. There aren’t many parking options but overall not too bad. Food is delicious and service is excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxing, comfortable, and yet classy. My wife and I went here after watching a movie and happy to try it. The summer rolls were perfect and had a very good sauce. My wife had the Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly, and I had the Angel eggplant (oh my gosh so good). This place...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant left me with impressions that navigated through the realms of average culinary offerings, olfactory discomfort, and concerns about cleanliness. Nestled in a neighborhood that beckons patrons with the promise of authentic Thai cuisine, Sawatdee Thai Restaurant presented a dining journey that had both its merits and drawbacks.
Commencing with the culinary aspect, the food at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant, while not extraordinary, fell into the category of averageness. The menu showcased a variety of Thai dishes, each offering a familiar yet not particularly standout taste. The flavors, while decent, did not carry the depth and boldness that one might associate with exceptional Thai cuisine. The lack of a distinctive flavor profile left the overall culinary experience hovering in the realm of the ordinary.
A less savory aspect of the visit was the interior ambiance. The restaurant, regrettably, suffered from an undesirable odor that lingered throughout the dining space. The unpleasant smell, whether related to the kitchen or other factors, detracted significantly from the dining experience. A restaurant's atmosphere is a crucial component of the overall journey, and the pervasive smell in this instance impacted the comfort and enjoyment of the patrons.
On a related note, concerns about cleanliness extended to the restroom facilities. A clean and well-maintained restroom is integral to the satisfaction of diners, and unfortunately, the state of the toilets at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant left much to be desired. This aspect significantly dampened the overall impression of the venue and raised questions about the establishment's commitment to hygiene.
In terms of service, the staff at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant were courteous and attentive, providing a silver lining to the dining experience. The positive interactions with the staff contributed to a more favorable impression despite the drawbacks in other areas.
In conclusion, Sawatdee Thai Restaurant, while offering a menu of average Thai cuisine, faced challenges in maintaining a pleasant interior ambiance and ensuring cleanliness standards. Addressing these concerns would be instrumental in elevating the overall dining experience for patrons seeking an authentic and satisfying Thai...
Read moreI wish I could give 0 star for my experience here at Sawatder Thai. First of all, way way overpriced Thai place. The food really didn’t live up to the high price. By far the worst Thai food I’ve ever had in the States! The crispy stir-fired Chicken (don’t rem the official Thai name of the dish) was way way too SALTY while the red curry duck was way way too Sweet! The Tom Yum soup was just sweet and sour sauce soup basically (do not order that was way overpriced-$7 for a very small bow and it really didn’t taste like authentic Tom Yum soup). We ordered young coconut water from the special menu which had picture of a real young coconut but turned out that it was canned juice with added syrup which made it super sugary sweet! The thing is that when we said we wanted the young coconut water the waiter made it as if it was real one by saying let me check the availability of it. Then he came back and said yea we do. Sounding like it was real without clarifying until we got our drink. Very misleading! The duck meat was gross, tasted as if it had been kept in the freezer for ages. Overall, food was either way too salty or way too sweet, price was outrageous for the poor food quality! The bill including tips was $70 for two persons for lunch. We had one soup, two canned juice with added syrup (which we thought would be real fruit juice cuz every Thai restaurant would have real coconut water so we made the assumption on this one as well), and two entrees. I could have a pretty good sushi or Italian lunch for that price. I like Thai food but definitely not this one. Get yourself a nice meal for your money. Never again...
