Avrasya Market — Local services in Arlington

Just found this new (opened in early 2024) Turkish market in courthouse plaza and it’s perfect. Although there is a Turkish community in the area, markets that sell Turkish/Mediterranean goods are few and far between. They have items like sucuk (spicy sausage), kaymak (sweet cream for toast), ayvar (red pepper & eggplant spread), along with various snacks, drinks, cheeses, and kitchenware. In NY little bodegas like this abound, but until now there hasn’t been such a place and it really adds to the neighborhood. As a Turkish American, I was shocked at how authentic this place was. If you love Turkish food or love trying new food look no further than Avrasya Market. While it looks quaint from the outside this family owned market it is PACKED with great food. The market has a variety of choices from snacks, spices, meats, cheeses, pastries, honey, sweets, tea and more. If you’re looking to try something new I recommend starting with halloumi, knafeh, simit, and/or pizza (the small snack, not American pizza). As a native Turkish person, I love this market! They have a very impressive selection of products considering the small space they work with. Very efficiently used space! Check out the wide variety of cheeses, meats, snacks, spices and much more! Also they keep saying they will add more products as they establish more. 10/10...
