Just found this new (opened in early 2024) Turkish market in courthouse plaza and itâs perfect. Although there is a Turkish community in the area, markets that sell Turkish/Mediterranean goods are few and far between. They have items like sucuk (spicy sausage), kaymak (sweet cream for toast), ayvar (red pepper & eggplant spread), along with various snacks, drinks, cheeses, and kitchenware. In NY little bodegas like this abound, but until now there hasnât been such a place and it really adds to the neighborhood. As a Turkish American, I was shocked at how authentic this place was.
