Came to buy some trading cards and the cashier told me about a buy 2, get 1 free deal with trading card accessories. I found a storage box I liked and brought 3 of them to the counter. I specifically asked him if the boxes fit Dragon Shield sleeved cards and he said they'd fit. So I spent my money on the two of them and got the third for free. Good deal I thought.
We'll, I came home and opened one up and tried to put a card in it and guess what: It didn't fit. Not even close. I'd have to bend my cards if I wanted them in there. These boxes are no use to me if I can't even put anything in them, so I immediately brought them back to the store.
I showed the cashier how they didn't fit and told him I'd like to return them. He proceeded to educate me about how they do fit if you put them sideways. What?? The box doesnt even close that way!!?? Clearly not the way they were designed as the cards still don't fit straight that way.
He also told me they don't accept returns and I'd just have to keep them. I didn't even open the other two! What am I supposed to do with them? I only bought them in the first place because of the deal HE told me about. GamesStop is just stealing my money at this point with false advertising. Awful experience. Never...
Read morePurchased a refurbished PS3 (and warranty) and they didnt bother to check it, got home and NO HARDDRIVE in the system. Oh but it gets better, when I returned to the store, the sales rep said "Ok, so what do you want me to do about it..." After I explained they need to replace the system with a WORKING one, I was charged for a bigger hard drive that I didnt want or need. They also gave me the WRONG system! The box she found had a slim ps3, not the newest super slim that I just returned. Pissed off and out of time I plan on going back to the store tomorrow and getting a full refund.
I purchased the newest model I could find for a reason. The machines are already between 6 to 8 years old and suffer from overheating. This isnt about a stupid hard drive. Its about getting what you pay for. The sales reps need to know what their jobs are or go work...
Read moreWent there to buy some gift cards a few months ago. The guy behind the counter was hassling the couple in front of me about signing up for their membership. They said no multiple times and eventually walked out without purchasing anything. I wasn’t looking forward to my upcoming interaction. Sure enough he complained to me about them leaving, looking for validation for his poor customer service. Then proceeded to give me the same flack for not wanting to sign up. I shop at GameStop so rarely, I don’t see a point in adding to my email junk folder. I just stared at him until he rung me up. He complained the whole time about my poor choices.
Maybe he needs some additional training on how to take no for an answer. It’s...
