What an adorably cute and rustic looking BBQ spot! ** Full disclosure: My husband and I have driven past this restaurant for almost 6 years, always on our way to Starbucks which is next door. The smells have always been amazing and we kept telling ourselves that one day soon, we'll check them out. He's from Houston born and raised, so takes his BBQ very seriously. He's found 1 spot in Seattle that has authentic BBQ (if you know Jake's, then you know) and has been wanting to try this place since it's in our backyard. Fast forward to yesterday. We were debating on what to eat for dinner and I mentioned a place across the street from Moose Creek... but then decided as I was almost there that I didn't want it after all. Finally, for whatever reason, it clicked that Moose Creek was across the way and we had yet to try it. So I finally stopped in and so glad that I did. Service was amazing. Questions were answered. Food came out fast and even though I was 20 mins from home, the sandwiches we bought held up wonderfully. I didn't know I liked ranch beans until I tried them. Wow! And the potato salad.... Drooooool worthy!! Big chunks of egg... just super yummy. We had a brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. The meat was so flavorful and the BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. My hubs said it was top notch... but to be fair, he didn't know if that's because it's been so long since he's had BBQ or if it truly was THAT good. We will definitely go again, that's for sure. And maybe I'll edit this review to include thoughts on trip 2 and if it's truly worthy of a Texan. But in the meantime, we'll be kicking ourselves for not popping in sooner!

Like dining on a neighbor’s back porch, everyone was so genuinely friendly. We walked in on a Friday night about 7pm, about an hour before they closed. They were sold out of everything except for pulled pork, so that’s what we chose (based on their sign out front, they later sold out of pulled pork as well). We asked for sides of beans, macaroni salad, corn chowder, and some sweet tea to enjoy it with. And it was all mouth-wateringly delicious. The pulled pork sandwiches came served on toasted hoagie-style rolls, with bottles of regular and spicy barbecue sauce to add as desired. The hoagie-style rolls were perfect because you could actually eat it as a sandwich, even slathered in tasty barbecue sauce. Using a knife and fork, there was plenty of barbecue sauce to go around. The sides weren’t large, but they were flavorful and satisfying. The corn chowder was thick and rich. Service was so genuinely friendly - we came at the end of their day, and though it was obvious they were tired after a long day of customers, they nonetheless bent over backwards with kind gestures of hospitality. Cleanliness everywhere was immaculate, and we think next time we’ll bring the kids who might enjoy Mr. Moose on the back wall. Dinner was so good, we came in the next day for lunch to go, at which time there was a line waiting even before their doors opened. Prices in 2025 were reasonable, and the quality was across the board exceptional. Highly recommend Moose Creek Barbecue - we plan to return again.

OH MY GOSH, MOOSE CREEK HAS GREAT BARBECUE!!! This place is located in the smokey point-Arlington area. The second you walk in, you are overwhelmed by the delectable aroma of finely crafted barbecue meats issuing forth from the large smoker rotisserie-like ovens. Moose Creek Barbecue is a small quirky place decorated with history of the area and, of course, a giant moose head with a big rack mounted on a back wall by the bathrooms. The menu is written in chalk on a huge chalkboard over the front counter. You can choose between pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, ribs, or sausage. They have sides like cole slaw, potato salad, beans, corn bread, etc. The best side in my opinion are the ranch beans with a good blend of beans, meat and spices. The chicken corn chowder is soo tasty thats it's worth it to pick up a quart of it! But the good times don't stop there; they also have tasty sauces with the main sauce having a sweet darkish flavor and smell. They have a couple of other sauces like their hot bbq sauce that has a nice heat that builds. If you're in the area, you need to stop buy for dine in or take-out. They sell each day until they run out of meats, which does happen. The counter staff and kitchen guys are very friendly and don't mind questions about anything they make and serve. And it's always fun to watch the meats revolving around the smoker when the tender opens the smoker doors to remove meat to a waiting cart with smoke and aroma billowing outward. Say hi to the moose for me!

This was our second time at Moose Creek and they, yet again, DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We're originally from the south and this is officially our FAVORITE place to dine. It has an authentic southern atmosphere with great tasting food! We've yet to have a bad experience. We will DEFINITELY be back!!

UPDATE--so we've been here several times now. Most times, the service has been as great as the food...today was VERY different. I ordered a kids pulled pork sandwich, a full pulled pork sandwich, and a pulled pork sundae. For drinks I ordered a large sweet tea, a large coke, and a sweet tea instead of apple juice to go with the kids meal. I watched the nice girl at the counter write everything down, it was all correct...I even double checked my receipt to make sure she'd put it in correctly. Our drinks came out wrong, and instead of getting them corrected right away, they questioned us over and over again what we'd ordered. When they brought out the food, they asked if we needed anything else. I said, "we just need the bread for the kids sandwich and everything else looks good". It even says on my receipt "KIDS PORK SANDWICH". The man told me that the kids meals were just a bowl of pork with no bread. I was very confused, because of what I'd ordered, what the girl at the front had written down, and what we received. They did finally remedy it and brought the bread out, and brought out the proper drinks, but the lady and man who did so made me feel like they just thought I was lying about the whole thing. It was very frustrating. We like the food, but this definitely put a sour taste...
