The key thing to remember here is that this is a thrift store. You come here expecting to buy something second hand—maybe even damaged or very worn— for a cheaper price than you would at a retail store.
That’s not the case here. These are the same prices you are finding at most stores, even online. Only now you’re paying the same price (or even more) for the same product, but now it’s been used and worn. They had a plain, plastic Sterilite tub that was dirty and had permanent writing on it for $7.99. The same size tub, new, is just under $7 at Walmart. They’re selling beater shoes for $20 when the soles are cracked and the insole is beyond worn. Near full price on furniture that’s already dated and dirty.
This is a thrift store trying to charge customers like a discount store like Ross, except Ross actually pays for new, decent quality products to sell its customers. Thrift stores take donations, they don’t pay for what they sell— and if they do, it’s not a thrift store. It’s resale. Assuming they operate like a thrift store and take donations to sell, this is a rip off. Sure you might find a bargain on DVDs or plush animals or an item here and there, but for the majority of the store, it’s not cheap. People come to thrift stores because they can’t afford the price of a new product. Charging people the same price if not more for items the establishment itself did not purchase is just plain wrong.
Update 7/12/25: They’re prices are a lot more reasonable now and they have a pretty good selection. It’s important to remember that it is cash only, you will be upset if you don’t anticipate that. Other than that, it’s a pretty decent thrift store. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreDespite the poor reviews and complaints of this place (many are legitimate)…this is still an excellent thrift store!
The Bad:
CASH ONLY - Plan ahead!! Despite the plethora of cashless ways we’ve all become accustomed to using…They intend to find a way to further profit. Don’t fall for the ATMs with outrageous fees at the end.
HIGH PRICES - Be ready to pay top dollar and sometimes unreasonable prices for the latest tag colors. This store is notorious for overpriced items that make no sense. Tag color discounts daily.
The Good
EXCELLENT SELECTION - This store offers one of the largest inventories in DFW. They stock large amounts of new items each day. I have shopped here more than once in the same day and found new deals.
DEEP DISCOUNTS - Regardless of the high list prices, the daily tag color discounts are consistently 50-75% off. If you’re a regular, knowledgeable buyer, you will find items available on sale.
CLEAN, QUALITY GOODS - Items here are typically in very good condition and often New with tags.
Give this place a fair chance and shop regularly if you’re able. There’s plenty to offer at this thrift store if you’re patient and still want...
Read moreI just happened to stumble on this place today and I was like a kid in a candy store. It was so big, clean, and organized! I only had about 30 min and never even got around to looking at the clothes. I walked out with a cart full for less than $60. I don't know what everybody else is complaining about. Every item I got was a sale tag except one and it was all very affordable. If you don't like the price then don't buy it. It's a thrift store, some prices are going to be high, but there's always hidden gems.
The only reason I'm removing a star is it's cash only, which normally isn't a big deal, but the $4 fee on the atm feels a little steep. And there was a line of 15+ people and one poor cashier doing her best while 2 others stood there talking and laughing. They really need more people working because I saw multiple things behind the counter I wanted to buy and couldn't because nobody was around. Also a lot of people were just leaving their discarded stuff all over the checkout line and making it difficult to...
