I had the chicken fajita nachos ($13.99). They were huge, I couldn’t eat them all! I have to say I’ve had much better, but honestly didn’t come expecting amazing nachos. I actually wasn’t all that hungry, and suspect that had some to do with my food-taste experience. The nachos had probably 12+ big chips, covered with cheese and chicken. The chicken was cubed fajita meat and reminded me of the type of chicken you’d get from a package in the “fresh meat and seafood” area of a super market. I was disappointed in how dry it was, but still ate it, so there’s that. I like the entire chip to contain cheese and it did not. There was some beans smeared on, a huge glob of sour cream and a measured scoop of guacamole. There were no jalapeños, so I guess you have to ask for those? Sprinkled tomatoes as well, but they didn’t taste like anything. The margarita, saving the best for last, was amazing. I’ll come back and have another! Asked for a mango margarita, like in some of the other pictures
but the server had never had it so couldn’t recommend. She actually said the strawberry was good, but I chose mango. It’s just the house with a $2 mango purĂ©e topper lol. I felt like the $2 was unnecessary, but they gotta make money. I would definitely order it again!

Won't be returning and don't recommend. Went in for an early dinner, no kids menu provided but the server advised us what they had. My wife and I shared a small queso and fajitas for 2 and our daughter had the kids quesadilla. We told the server no beans just rice to which the server informed us the kids quesadilla doesn't come with rice. So we asked to add as a side. The food was ok but nothing spectacular, would return if not for their business practices. A kids cheese quesadilla with no sides is $8.29? And in order to get some rice on the side is an extra $3? Btw what is up with putting green beans in your rice? That's weird. After looking at the receipt closer I see that we were charged 1.79 CC fee that says 3% in parenthesis but that doesn't add up cause it's not 3% of the total or subtotal. This violates 1 or more of the rules for accepting visa debit cards for payment as a merchant. Later El arroyo I'll enjoy your sign creativity as I drive on by.

Just had the worst experience at El Arroyo Arlington. When we came in, the restaurant was basically empty, and they tried to seat 5 of us at a table meant for 4. When we asked for a bigger table the girl rolled her eyes and said "I guess." We were seated at a bigger table, and waited for almost 20 minutes before anyone came. Our waitress was standing around talking to other waitresses and on her phone. We finally got drinks, and about 10 minutes later our waitress comes back asking if we were ready to order, then shows us her scan code for the menu. When we said no, we weren't ready we hadn't seen the menu, she walked away... without even letting us scan the code. I pulled up the Arlington location menu and we picked what we wanted.

Lunch Fajitas said $8.97 but we were charged almost $15 for that.

Our drinks sat empty, my food was burnt, and my daughter's was undercooked. She ate her rice and a tortilla and that was it.

We asked for our check, and about 15 minutes later got it. Our waitress had added her own tip, because there were 5 of us. I asked her about the price for the fajitas and she said "you didn't look at the right menu. You scanned mine so idk where that came from". I told her no we didn't, because she had walked away.. she then argued with me that my mom scanned it then.. my youngest daughter had my mom's phone the whole time..

I asked to speak to a manager (such a Karen, I know 😂🙄), so she finally comes over and asks what my problem is. I tell her everything that happened from the start and about our food being under cooked and mine being burnt. She then STICKS HER HANDS IN MY FOOD AND PICKS UP THE FAJITAS one by one TO SEE WHAT IS LEFT. She argued with me that I got to eat enough of it, so what was my point. (I ate the veggies and 3 pieces of meat). She didn't even bother to look at my daughter's enchilada.

I argued that we weren't paying the bill in full, and she said "Well someone better pay it."

She ended up taking the tip off, but that was about it. We have been going there for at least 20 years and today will be...

Went in Yesterday To have Dinner with my Wife and Kids and I noticed something of a sticky consistensy on my chips after eating one. and Right i ate it , it left a foul taste in my mouth as well as smell. Ive worked in the Kitchen before and know how degreaser looks and smells.it smelled like Degreaser and had the consistensy of Degreaser. I told the Manager of the issue , showed him the chip with the degreaser and he said it was Old oil if i wanted new chips. I then insisted to have him to check what got on the chips and he went and didnt let me know anything. so i had to go get back up and go ask him what it was i ate. Because i was worried my children possibly ate some too. He then said it was lime juice they used to clean the Grill and i said Lime juice are you serious? at this point i wasnt sure if he was being sarcastic or just being Dumb. So i told him to go make sure it wasnt degreaser because it wasnt no lime juice or old oil. when they brought out a new thing of chips i saw there was oil on there and that was not what i had aten. so i let him know and he finally got the kitchen supervisor to come talk with me. The kitchen supervisor said they dont use degreaser and That he wasnt aware of what was on my chips because that so called manager in charge never went to him or showed him snd the watress had thrown the chips away. No solution to my problem at all. all they did was offer me an apology and thats all. my wife insisted the kids eat since they hadnt and since we had ordered our food before the issue had happened they ate theyre food and i was still charged for my food full price. i didnt eat the rest of the night worried bc of what i may have consumed. ive always gone to el Arroyo to eat Tex Mex but ill make sure this is my Last time coming to Any El Arroyo. ill rather go to Chuys. The proffesionalism to handle such a delicate Food handlers Problem was taken ever so lightly and irresponsibly. Ill advise anyone to be careful when eating At el Arroyo so you dont have to run into this type of issues ever. Or plain and Simple Avoid...

I ABSOLUTELY WITH EVERY FIBER IN MY BODY, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! IF YOU HAPPEN TO CHOKE ON FOOD YOU JUST MIGHT DIE HERE BECAUSE NO ONE IS GOING TO HELP YOU!! My family and I went here this past Friday night (6/28/2024). We had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. First, we were seated at our table on the patio, which we waited for someone to greet us after about 20 minutes after I had to ask the hostess who server is. Secondly, our frozen drinks were not frozen as they came out already separated from the liquid and frozen ice. So this is were it took a turn, my 6 year old niece started choking on a tortilla chip, which my sister and I attempted to get the chip out of her throat, NOT 1 PERSON FROM THE STAFF, I MEAN NO SERVER, NO MANAGER, NOBODY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT CAME TO CHECK AND SEE IF WE NEEDED ASSISTANCE OR TO CALL FOR AN AMBULANCE. THE ONLY PERSON WAS A SWEET WOMAN WHO WAS A CUSTOMER HERSELF CAME TO HELP US WITH MY NIECE. If that woman sees this, we THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN!!! We get the chip out and my niece is feeling much better. They brought our food out cold as ice and at this point I wanted to speak with a manager. We explained everything that happened and that we would not be eating this food and how horrible their customer service is. He showed absolutely no sympathy and didn’t even have the decency to ask if our niece was okay after that traumatic incident. He originally only wanted to take off the frozen drinks and we stated no we haven’t even touched our food and don’t want anything from this place. The only thing that was eaten was my niece’s kids meal which we paid for that and the queso cheese. I’M EXTREMELY PISSED AND DISAPPOINTED AT THIS RESTAURANT, THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME SERIOUS TRAINING AND UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. NOT HAVING YOUR SERVERS PLAYING AROUND ON THEIR PHONES, LAUGHING AND PLAYING AND IGNORING YOUR CUSTOMERS. DO BETTER!!! YOU ALL HAVE LOST...
