I really hate that I have to write a negative review on a restaurant. I love Middle East food. But in ONE WEEK, we had 2 terrible experience with this place.
our order was missing a whole plate. We did delivery for 7 plates and one was missing. So we called and the guy told us that they couldn’t send another plate. We had to pay for the plate that was missing. How’s it our problem that the person delivering didn’t have everything with him? The guy on the phone was really rude and so unprofessional!
I placed order over the phone for a pick up. So I was told to pay over the phone b/c order was 60 dollars. Whoever was on the line asked if I wanted to tip, I said no b/c I’ve never been asked to tip over the phone. I know when you come to pick up the order you can decide to tip the person on the receipt. But b/c I said no on the phone, this guy purposely misplaced my orders. Humus upsets my stomach so I asked for them to not put humus in the food. When I came in to pick up my order, it wasn’t ready so I reminded him to let the people in the kitchen know of no humus, this guy legit rolled his eyes and said “I’ll see what I can do” like tf is that supposed to mean? So I left the store and came back 20 minutes later, the food was ready he handed me the food w so much attitude, without an eye contact. Like so disrespectful and unprofessional!
The food was terrible, humus was in the plates, orders were missing veggies, I was charged for extra rice that I didn’t ask for. I asked him to replace humus w rice instead but he charged me for extra rice and kept humus. I’d recommend the food but not the service. Try it for yourself before you decide. But just know that there’s a lot of Middle East food places down here so try the...
Read moreI just sent my caregiver to pick me up my meal from Sultan Grill. I get a chicken shawarma sandwich combo without a few vegetables, rice and extra garlic sauce. I've always only been charged for a combo as I made substitutions.
First the employee we called argued about what I wanted with my caregiver and didn't tell him it would be any extra, so I didn't know what the price would be.
When my caregiver arrived he had to pay 30$ for a meal, money I simply didn't have as a disabled person.
And I didn't even get the drink.
I have told all my family and friends and now you guys. These prices and lack of transparency will put this place out of business. I will never return again unless this is rectified.
Edit- my sandwich is also very small but they gave me a massive amount of garlic sauce and two extra pita, the lettuce wasn't taken off. I can't even eat this. This is why when a caregiver is ordering for a disabled person you don't argue about the order. This is incredibly upsetting and it's I think whoever was managing the phone tonight should at the very least be talked to
We also tried to call and the person told us we made a mistake when we did not, my caregiver was argued with till he gave up
Update 7/12 Called to talk to a manager about this. When I asked for a manager...
Read moreMy wife and I gave this restaurant a try this evening. We love middle eastern cuisine and saw relatively good reviews for this restaurant.
We were both disappointed to find out the review score did not reflect the product we received.
I ordered a meat combination to try a little of everything— Chicken kebab was good; tender and flavorful. But… that’s about all that I could say which was good, much less passable.
Beef was severely overcooked to the point where it was difficult to chew and the Lamb tasted like it was turning expired to the point where I didn’t feel it was safe to continue eating. (Even though I was starving!!). The hummus was watery and had little flavor and the pita which was 3-4 dollars was somehow worse than store bought varieties; they were hard and completely inedible.
This one gets a 2 out 5 stars due to the price being extremely high, despite the poor quality we received. Between two people ordering a single meal each, the bill was 60 dollars.
We won’t be going back to this restaurant, which is a shame. Would have loved to have a great Middle Eastern option nearby. I guess we’ll need to...
