Worst “grooming” ever

The owner’s response to my review was predictable, as any question ever raised about Haw Creek grooming was answered very defensively, with a bit of snark to go with it. This groomer seems to believe that she knows best and ignores specific concerns and requests by the dog’s owner. Unfortunately, the only trauma my happy, healthy doodle has ever experienced in his 3 1/2 years was from the very aggressive grooming at Haw Creek. He spent weeks licking his wounds, and looked pitiful after all my requests were ignored. We can't say enough good things about Haw Creek Pet Care -- Liz and her staff are our fairy dogmothers! We have used Haw Creek's boarding, grooming, and daycare services for our two giant 100+lb dogs since we moved to the area three years ago. Liz and her staff are extraordinarily attentive and caring, often pointing out things about our dogs we hadn't even noticed. Our first dog runs impatiently to the door when we ask him "do you want to go to Liz?" and our second anxious, reactive dog has really come out of her shell thanks to their care. Wonderful place to get your dog groomed! I got my long haired dachshund groomed here. They were incredibly understanding that I was running late to my appointment when I called ahead and they gave my dog a beautiful trim, wash, nail trimming, and full service that cost exactly what they quoted me on the phone. My dog looked better than I could have hoped for and they took all of my preferences into account. He was in such high spirits when I picked him up that I could tell they took great care of him....
