Tucked away like a hidden gem, Dobra Tea is a sanctuary for tea lovers seeking a tranquil escape. From the moment you step inside, the serene atmosphere invites you to slow down and savor the moment. The dim lighting, soft seating, and subtle aroma of steeping leaves create an ambiance that feels worlds away from the bustle outside.
The tea selection is nothing short of extraordinary, offering everything from classic black teas to rare, hand-picked oolongs and soothing herbal infusions.
The staff, true connoisseurs of their craft, guide you through the menu with expertiseâwhether youâre looking for a gentle, low-caffeine experience or a bold, energizing brew. Their deep knowledge ensures each guest finds a tea that perfectly matches their mood and preference.
One of the highlights I particularly enjoy is the opportunity for multiple infusions. Unlike many places that discard leaves after a single steep, Dobra encourages you to experience the evolving flavors of your tea with each successive pour.
The ritualistic element of the experience makes every visit feel special, a moment of quiet mindfulness in a fast-paced world.
Beyond the tea, Dobra also offers a selection of vegan-friendly food, thoughtfully curated to complement the flavors of their drinks. Whether youâre nibbling on a light snack or indulging in something more substantial, every bite feels intentional and nourishing.
To truly immerse yourself, plan to arrive at least an hour before last call. The experience isnât meant to be rushedâthis is a place where time slows, where each sip feels like a meditation, and where every visit leaves you more refreshed than when...
Read moreKept hearing great things about this tea house. Tried it three times. Very hard to get any accommodations with drinks, everything is an argument. I ended up spending about 18 the first time and not drinking anything because they could not give me a clean cup because âit is only served in these special cupsâ I just wanted a plain glass cup or mug, itâs not that hard. Tried a bubble tea that barely tasted like tea with some flavorless boba in it. The bakery items are incredibly bland. Not just mild sweat, but bland. It reminded me of my poor attempts to make raw and vegan items. Iâve eaten good paleo and vegan Japanese food. This ainât it. The interior is beautiful until you sit on anything. Chairs are uncomfortable and come with little reminders not to stay to long in the empty cafe, would not want to make it seem too crowded. I came with a guest who has trouble tasting, she asked for more sugar in her drink, she had to ask several times and was told âbut there is sugar in itâ she knows, she is asking for more because it doesnât taste good. Has a very rich...
Read moreI have enjoyed dobra tea downtown for years. I have recently visited the East Asheville location and the employee who assisted me was very rude. I went through the driveway and after paying with my card the employee snatched the little computer from my hands. I hadn't even finished pushing the buttons before she literally snatched it from me. I didn't say anything to her because I am working and had a client/resident with me in the car. I have always had a five star experience at Dobra and I'm really unhappy with this past experience today June the 14th.
I've made golden milk before during my time as a server. It was not mixed very well but I did enjoy the flavor. I don't leave bad reviews often. I actually leave good reviews all the time. But I felt really disrespected today and I needed to put it out there.
I just started working in East Asheville but I will not go to this location again. I guess I'll go with out. I'm never downtown anymore so I will miss that location. Thanks...
