Believe the hype, the LoFi burger at the Copper Crown is perfect. Well, close to perfect, I wouldn't personally top it with a lettuce leaf but I've got to admit it photographs well. This burger is an absolute steal at $9. It comes with terrible fries, maybe the sweet potato fries are better. The seasoned fries are an abomination. They're the cursed love child of cardboard and gardening foam. They couldn't be drier without turning to dust. The bartender Tim was friendly and gave me space, I never felt rushed, just checked in on. The drinks were fabulous, well made, and balanced. They also use luxardo cherries, which is a plus. I didn't love the reds by the glass section but I was happy with the Last Word and the Something More Comfortable. If you love bitters and amaros, this drink menu is for you, not for me. The lady beside me got a risotto and loved it, so +1 for the kitchen able to do more than a killer burger. Super excited to add this place to the rotation and try the grown up menu. I had to start with the burger. I had to. Oh, they have outdoor seating, kind of. It's a patio but it's really more of enclosed extra space. No sunlight will touch your shoulders but you'll never get wet when it rains. Super tiny place, best to make a reservation during peak hours.

We went to Copper Crown for dinner as a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday. We were excited to try it. We all ordered beverages, starters and mains. The starters come out: butternut squash soup, panzanella salad, and a radish dish. The soup was a mish mash of flavors from squash to cilantro to a hint of curry. The panzanella salad was overly sweet. And the radishes came out in a congealed brown/grey sauce with the root still attached and flapping around. All 3 dishes were in serious need of editing the flavors, trying too hard is the thought that came to mind - they didn’t know how to do it well so they figured they would just throw everything at it. Then the mains come out…well, 6 of the mains and we are still missing a Brussels sprout starter. A series of unfortunate events followed including a missed opportunity in trying to rectify the missing meals and a less than feel good interaction with the bartender who was moonlighting as being in charge but served to insult us and exasperate the situation. In a follow-up conversation with the co-owner, she was extremely kind and apologetic for the experience we had and assured us this was not their standard and that action would be taken to ensure this experience wouldn’t happen again to others.

The food was very good, however the atmosphere was not. I am vegetarian so I had the Risotto which was quite tasty. My son had the steak and said it was perfectly cooked. They had Urban Orcahrd cider, which I love. However, you're packed in right on top of other guests. If I had leaned my head back slightly, I would have touched the head of the person in the booth behind us. I was sitting closer to them than I was to the person in my own booth. The back of the booth is only about 4 inches wide, so it's quite awkward because you can hear every word they're saying...and vice versa. It wouldn't take much to put a divider in between each booth making it more private and pleasant for the guests. It's also quite dark inside, so there's a bright glare coming from the windows in the front of the restaurant. If one of your party is facing the window, they can't really see the person across from them. Eating out is not just about the food, but about the experience. If I'm going to pay for a meal, I would like the whole experience to be pleasant. In this case, the food and service were quite good, but the atmosphere will keep me from coming back.

We were looking forward to a special meal to celebrate my partner's birthday and chose CC looking forward to the menu and having a nice dining experience. Unfortunately what we got was one of the most sub par meals and worst service we have ever had. After taking our order, not one server checked in with us if everything was satisfactory, the only question we were asked was if we want more drinks. Our entree was brought out while we still had our app, and the app was grabbed so fast without them asking if we were done. Because my partner and I have worked in food service for fifteen years we noticed that not one server had non slip shoes on and none of the servers with long hair had it pulled back (surprised no one find a hair in their food). I watched servers carry more plates than they actually could so plates are supported by securing them to their stomach. We did order three dishes that got worse as we went. The gnocchi with roasted corn was good but somewhat bland. We were not asked how it was, the plate was just taken from the table without a word. Our second dish was beef cheeks with cauliflower puree and pickled cucumbers. Once again this was bland and needed salt. The worst part on this dish is the fact that everything was cold. Plate was cold, cauliflower was cold, the only hot thing was the beef cheeks and they were barely hot. This dish was grabbed from our table without asking if we were done, we were not. Finally we got a pork schnitzel and were looking forward to a great take on a classic. Guess what, it needed salt. To top it off out entree was served on a chipped plate that looked like it was from 1970. I would have brought all this up to a manager instead of a giant post online, but it didn't look like there was anyone in charge in the front. Just a bunch of people wanting to flip tables and make money. Overall one of the worst dining...

We’ve always loved Copper Crown. Have dined there many times. This last time on my husband’s birthday was a real disappointment. But to be fair it was very busy & we sat on the outdoor patio while it was raining. Had to ask them to close the door as our table was getting a big cool draft from an open door a few feet away! Ordered a glass of Cabernet & waitress never mentioned they only sell one brand by the glass & it’s $14/glass!! When I told her I never would have ordered it had I known she gave a quick explanation & left to pay our bill. Also ordered a dessert to celebrate my husbands 85th b’day. It was the chocolate pot de crème which comes in a very small bowl topped with whipping cream for $8! Nothing fancy whatsoever & hoped it might be comped in lieu of my husband’s b’day which our waitress never acknowledged when I mentioned it. Whole bill came to $98 plus $20 tip which I questioned giving her but saw she was handling way too many tables & place was packed with only 2 servers I could see. She did not serve our meal & we saw very little of her the entire time. We were given a gift card since then but probably won’t be dining in with it. Hate complaining but thought this might help you all make some changes especially with your wine by the glass(maybe not even offer it or let customers know the cost?) Maybe also be more aware of how your servers are doing by coming by tables & doing a quick check. Please do better in the future we love your restaurant & food! And always hope for...

The food is amazing, and I LOVED (past tense) this place. I have been many times with groups of people and a few times with my husband. Never again. The service was abysmal, to put it mildly.

We arrived tonight around 6 pm with no reservations...DO NOT EVER DO THIS! (We went a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night with no reservations and were treated well, so who knows?) Anyway, the hostess was super rude from the time we walked up...could not be bothered with us. She asked if we had reservations and we said no. (last minute decision to go there) She told us that we could sit at one of the outside tables, but that we would have to be done in an hour and 15 minutes because people with reservations would be coming. We responded that we didn't know if we would be done by then...how can we know how quickly the food would come out?!! (we obviously have no control over that!) Basically, we felt totally unwelcome there.

Needless to say, the entire time we were extremely uncomfortable and felt rushed. They hurried us through our meal and then didn't bother to ask if we wanted dessert the way they always do (and were asking other tables.)

We have never, ever been treated so poorly in any restaurant, or for that matter, by any business. It was inexcusable and left us feeling horrible. What was going to be a nice date night for us as a couple left us with a bad feeling. I will be sure to share this information to all of my friends who frequent this place. Nobody deserves to be treated...
