Broadway Books isn’t just Ashland’s only independent bookstore—it’s one of those spots you can’t help but linger in. The shelves cover it all: mystery, young adult, historical fiction, cookbooks… plus plenty of surprises in between.

It’s not just about books either. You’ll find journals begging to be written in, gifts you didn’t know you needed, toys that’ll make kids (and grown-ups) smile, and candles and jewelry that make the best little “treat yourself” moments.

It's a cavernous book store celebrating local and global literature. Glowingly remodeled from a historic five and dime there are cathedral ceilings, wide boulevard windows and entire rumpus sized children's section.

Atmosphere like a Barnes and Noble, kinda. And the gift/ stationary selection too. But that's where the comparison ends. For its location next to Whit's creamery, extra cool café next door and the central business district-- for this reason alone Broadway is worth the visit.

Very beautiful book store!! They have lots of new books to choose from, also carry used books as well. They have a ton of wonderful local vendor items to choose from as well. They have art, unique hand crafted stuff of all sorts, hand poured candles & wax melts, a large kid section, tons of high quality children toys/items, plants, etc. There truly is so much stuff to look at. The environment is very chill. Employees were very helpful and nice. This is definitely a place I recommend! A hidden gem 💎...
