Jolly Pirate Donuts — Restaurant in Ashland

I don't understand why this place is no longer on a schedule! Who runs a buisness this way! They close when they run out of donuts, I've never heard of such a thing. You are gonna lose buisness doing things like this and I love the donuts but here lately its like they are a day old. In 2 weeks I have thrown away 2 dozen of donuts at different times. Theres no cream inside of the creme filled anymore and they were hard, no way were they made fresh that day. The employees are not very friendly at all, the last time a pudgy dark haired guy was working and nobody even says hello when you walk in, he just stressed at me. When I went to ask for a bag he acted like it killed him! Does the owner not think that maybe if they wanna go home for the day they just hide donuts or throw them in the trash. If I ever go back I will not buy a dozen to throw away! I live 30 minutes away so driving out of my way for donuts is an issue when you won't answer your phones and you're never open. Please go back to a schedule, even if you close at 6 I atleast know whats going on! Also, go back to making your donuts that day or change what you are doing to make them hard with no creme inside! Honestly, we stopped in this place because of the name. We love anything pirate related! They were pretty busy both in the drive-thru and inside. The service was great though! We had never been here and we were taking longer than we probably should, but there were so many options to choose from that we couldn't make up our minds. A line had already formed behind us, but the lady waiting on us was very patient with us and didn't make us feel rushed. Unfortunately, the counter area was closed so we couldn't eat inside. They had a little covered patio outside that we sat at, but it was a little chilly so we didn't stay long. The donuts were amazing! I loved that they weren't super sweet and sugary like most donuts. They had great flavor and tasted fresh. The custard filled ones had the perfect ratio of custard to donut. We ended up getting a dozen so we could try a variety (and because they came in a treasure chest looking box) I couldn't even pick a favorite, I loved them all! Coffee was delicious too! Let me begin by saying Jolly Pirates in Ashland KY is missing so many sales and disappointing so many customers!!! Why are they only doing one bake?? They need to change their website. It says they are open till 8pm. I live 2 and a half hours a away I drove to Jolly Pirate in Ashland KY; because that is where we use to always go. Even though the website said open till 8pm they were closed. While I was there 3 other cars pulled in wanting donuts too.
