The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center — Local services in Ashtabula

My gripe here is that their donations of smalls aka Bric-a-brak as they like to call it are not hitting the shelves. Week after week there is almost no smalls no kitchen ware, no dish sets. I suspect donations are being shipped out (Erie?) and ofcourse vetted for valuable items and being sold elsewhere. If you’re hunting for anything other than clothing keep driving and don’t waste your time. I donated over 12 boxes of various smalls over a two week period and none of them ever hit the sales floor. I got some one of a kind items: in opened Cabbage Patch dolls. In fact this store had a big selection. They only cost $7 each. Also I'm a is size and they had many clothes in my size. They put 3 colors on %50 off price. The dressing rooms have curtains, not locked doors. Best of all the Salvation Army is not for profit. After reading the other reviews, maybe I’m missing something but I never find anything I want. Merchandise looks dirty, used books are expensive, shelves not well stocked.
