If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would! My experience living at University Commons has been nothing short of amazing, and that is all thanks to the incredible Sara Tuttle and the phenomenal maintenance crew.
Sara is, without a doubt, the heart and soul of University Commons. From the moment I moved in, she has been nothing but attentive, understanding, and respectfulâalways making sure tenants feel valued and cared for. She goes above and beyond in every possible way, ensuring that every concern is addressed promptly and with genuine kindness. Whether itâs answering questions, resolving issues, or simply making tenants feel at home, Sara truly exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding property manager.
And letâs talk about the maintenance teamâabsolute rockstars! Every single worker is not only skilled but also incredibly kind and professional. They respond quickly, work efficiently, and always greet you with a smile. Whether itâs routine maintenance or an unexpected issue, they handle it with expertise and care, making sure that tenants are always comfortable.
My time at University Commons has been nothing short of fantastic, and I have no plans to leave anytime soon. As long as Sara Tuttle is here, this will always be my home. The level of dedication, warmth, and professionalism she and the maintenance team provide is truly rare, and I feel so lucky to be a resident here.

Read moreExtremely rude people, money mongers that will make your life hell, mediocre apartment, and maintenance service that doesnât actually fix anything.
The apartment itself is fine for what you pay for I guess (pretty terrible furniture and no holiday decorations allowed even in the windowsâšď¸), but the people at the office are the absolute worst. They are extremely mean, unprofessional, and not willing to help anyone. They also charge fees left and right that arenât justified. I got charged $55 because the screen on my window was âbentâ (it wasnât, just needed to be popped back in place) but $30 of that fee was a maintenance fee! $30 to pop in a new screen is absolutely ridiculous, and they didnât even give me the option to do it myself. Iâve also had lots of problems in my apartment which never got fixed because the maintenance guys donât care to do a good job fixing anything. For example, we needed a new lock on our door because the deadbolt kept getting stuck, so we would always get locked out, but instead of replacing it, they just put lube on the lock which didnât work at all.
I was also a subleaser and I got zero notification of when the third rent payment was due so I got charged like a $150 late fee for something that was not even my fault. Colleen (one of the office ladies) just emailed a week after and called me a âdelinquentâ since the rent was late even though no one ever notified me when it was due. When I called about it, I was once again treated poorly by the horrible ladies in the office.
I would never live here again due to the terrible customer service and I would recommend reading all the other one star reviews before you live here because they are all spot on with ridiculous fees and...
Read moreI am not the kind of person who reviews but I had to for this place. Even though the rent looks attractive , you are going to spend soo much money here for other things. To Start with I wish I could give this place no stars. The first time I moved here two years back , they gave me the house in a filthy condition , and when I went and spoke to them about it they had no idea that the house was left dirty .At the end of one year there was "apparently " bed bugs and they had to do a treatment which was $1000 and they charged everyone in the house for it. (Honestly , I don't even know if there was anything because my house was kept clean always). I was fed up of the constant charges they kept putting for small things(blinds $25, and the stove top for $45, this cost $5 dollars at Walmart and it is not like they come and install it for you) and the so called rules that they had which was ridiculous (one of them was ,you can't put chairs outside the house other than that they want us to put ????, that's crazy!!) They charged my roommate for leaving a plant outside the house !! I finally subleased my room and moved out(Not to forget they had a $100 move in fee which I have not seen in any other place I've lived in Athens ). And at the end of my lease they again came up with bed bugs and not only did i not get my deposit back they charged me an additional $150(and I had to pay even though I didn't live here ). In short I have spent around $1000 extra here because of their rules and ridiculous reasonings which make no sense to me and would not recommend this place EVER...
