I booked an appointment for today at 6:00 pm with Steven. I needed my hair done because I'm going into surgery on Friday & will be down for a while. According to their pictures, it seemed like they did African-American hair. I wanted a copper red color like the example pictured. I arrived 4-5 minutes late due to an accident on I-85. Steven told me that he wouldn't be able to do my hair because he didn't have the color I requested & because he had other clients coming in. He also mentioned the process of lightening my hair first, which I'm aware of. But their website for scheduling doesn't allow you to enter all of the services that you are requesting. Steven tried to refer me to his colleague. I believe her name was "Shonda". She had no availability for tonight. They also referred me to another salon down the street...which seemed to cater to mostly African-American clients, as well. Looks like I've found my stylist there. I contacted Donna because I was having a small existential crisis and told her I wanted a perm. I've never had a perm so she made sure I was emotionally ready for the curls. I love it SO much.
