If you’re looking to indulge in authentic Ethiopian cuisine, Embilta is truly one of the best restaurant around. The flavors and dishes they offer are nothing short of extraordinary, and every bite transports you straight to Ethiopia. It’s as if the food is crafted with the love and care of someone who has brought their family recipes directly from their homeland. Read moreFirst of all, I think atlanta needs to raise the bar on food. I had some of the BEST ethiopian food when I was living in DC. But here in atl, this ethiopian food was …meh. I had a sambusa and veggie platter. The $3 sambusa was flavorful, crispy, and fried. The sambusa would have me coming back… but the veggie platter was meh.. and that’s crazy because it looked so good but looks can be deceiving. I did like the fact there was beets because not many ethiopian places serve beets, so i love that. The red lentils were cool, i could definetly taste the seasoning in them, but i tasted the cinnamon and it was a little overpowering but they were still decent. Wasn’t too crazy on the collard green. The cabbage was just ok. The green lentils tasted freezer burnt so they obviously weren’t fresh. The tomato salad was nice and fresh.. this veggie platter did not wow me. My rating is only based on food. For this place to have this many stars, it’s obvious people here don’t know what real good food is. But the portion size was nice compared to other ethiopian places i went to, I definetly had to use a to-go box. The woman here was lovely, I enjoyed her and she provided me good service and it was nice knowing this was a small owned...
Read moreI must say, this was an incredible experience! The Ethiopian cuisine served here is simply the best I have ever tasted. The owner herself took care of us, serving and cooking all of our dishes with so much passion and love. Her genuine smile and the flavors she created made the whole experience even more memorable. I apologize for the late review as life has been quite busy lately. I visited this place a few weeks ago and tried the mouthwatering chicken awaze tibs. Additionally, I savored a delectable brown lentil dish (unfortunately, I can't recall the name), while my friends enjoyed the flavorful beef tibs. The food was fresh and bursting with flavors. The staff was friendly and welcoming, generously providing us with plenty of injera to accompany our dishes. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. Be prepared for some fiery spiciness in the food! The casual ambiance adds to the charm, and it's no surprise that this place is always buzzing with people who share the same...
