First of all, I think atlanta needs to raise the bar on food. I had some of the BEST ethiopian food when I was living in DC. But here in atl, this ethiopian food was …meh. I had a sambusa and veggie platter. The $3 sambusa was flavorful, crispy, and fried. The sambusa would have me coming back… but the veggie platter was meh.. and that’s crazy because it looked so good but looks can be deceiving. I did like the fact there was beets because not many ethiopian places serve beets, so i love that. The red lentils were cool, i could definetly taste the seasoning in them, but i tasted the cinnamon and it was a little overpowering but they were still decent. Wasn’t too crazy on the collard green. The cabbage was just ok. The green lentils tasted freezer burnt so they obviously weren’t fresh. The tomato salad was nice and fresh.. this veggie platter did not wow me. My rating is only based on food. For this place to have this many stars, it’s obvious people here don’t know what real good food is. But the portion size was nice compared to other ethiopian places i went to, I definetly had to use a to-go box. The woman here was lovely, I enjoyed her and she provided me good service and it was nice knowing this was a small owned family business.

I must say, this was an incredible experience! The Ethiopian cuisine served here is simply the best I have ever tasted. The owner herself took care of us, serving and cooking all of our dishes with so much passion and love. Her genuine smile and the flavors she created made the whole experience even more memorable. I apologize for the late review as life has been quite busy lately. I visited this place a few weeks ago and tried the mouthwatering chicken awaze tibs. Additionally, I savored a delectable brown lentil dish (unfortunately, I can't recall the name), while my friends enjoyed the flavorful beef tibs. The food was fresh and bursting with flavors. The staff was friendly and welcoming, generously providing us with plenty of injera to accompany our dishes. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. Be prepared for some fiery spiciness in the food! The casual ambiance adds to the charm, and it's no surprise that this place is always buzzing with people who share the same love for it.

Got the vegan assorted plate with extra injera (which was a good idea! Highly recommend getting more rather than less!) and Sambusa The sambusa was AMAZING. I think it was my favorite part. The injera was good too. But the vegan platter was a slight disappointment since I felt there wasn’t as much quantity various assorted vegetable dishes as I expected. And there was WAY too much raw tomato. On ordering they ask you what extra you want and I am fairly certain I chose chickpeas and not the salad but I still ended up getting the salad. It just made the injera extra soggy and wasn’t that great eating raw tomato so I just left that. The beetroot was kind of meh too, just boiled beets and not that much spice The rest of the dishes were good. Especially liked the yellow lentils and the shiro. Next time I will be more specific while ordering! Give it a try! Good and tasty vegan food 🌱

well! I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on a hidden gem in our area that I believe everyone should experience: Embilta Restaurant. If you’re looking to indulge in authentic Ethiopian cuisine, Embilta is truly one of the best restaurant around. The flavors and dishes they offer are nothing short of extraordinary, and every bite transports you straight to Ethiopia. It’s as if the food is crafted with the love and care of someone who has brought their family recipes directly from their homeland. I understand that sometimes people may voice opinions about businesses based on personal interests or experiences. However, I encourage you to form your own perspective. The best way to appreciate the quality and authenticity of Embilta’s offerings is to visit and taste for yourself. Those who have dined there can attest to the richness of the food and the warm atmosphere that surrounds it. Whether you’re a fan of spicy stews, flavorful lentils, or the delightful injera, there’s something for everyone at Embilta. I truly believe that once you experience their dishes, you’ll understand why so many of us rave about this restaurant. So, why not gather some friends or family and make a plan to visit Embilta soon? I promise you won’t be disappointed. Let’s support local businesses that bring such wonderful culinary experiences to our community! Looking forward to hearing about your...
