Note: this review was changed from two stars to four after hearing from the management. Update below.
This evening, a group of us went for dinner to Six Feet Under on Cheshire Bridge Rd. We have been there several times as a group. We are a group that eat at a restaurant every week, and have been doing so for years.
This evening, we decided to return after an issue on the last visit, to give them another chance. Most of us ordered appetizers, and all ordered entrees. We made a point of telling the waitperson that we wanted the appetizers first. When the appetizers came, the entrees came about three minutes later. We complained at the time and the wait person did offer to take the entrees back to the kitchen to wait in the window. I said “No, I don’t want this entree to go back to the kitchen to just come back to me”. She did say that she had put the orders in separately. As soon as I could get through my salad, my entree was just warm. (The Shrimp and Grits).
When the waitperson came by to see if everything was to our satisfaction we told her about the issue.
Then Devin, the manager came over to say he heard our complaint, but didn’t appreciate us talking to his staff in that manner. (We aren’t supposed to complain when there’s an issue?)
He said nothing about the failings of the restaurant, no apology, nothing but a rude attitude. (Nothing was said to the waitperson that was inappropriate, or loud, just that we were not happy). He never acknowledged that the staff or the organization had done anything incorrectly, just that we had spoken to his staff in a manner he didn’t appreciate. In short, we, the customers were out of line, and the staff and kitchen performed perfectly.
Unfortunately, Six Feet Under does not list a contact point for management on their website, because I would have preferred to send this to them privately.
UPDATE 5/20/2025
After posting my review, I heard from the senior management about the issue. They received a note about the incident in a nightly report from the management, and were hoping to get in touch with me. She apologized for the way the situation was handled. We chatted at length, and she said she hoped we would give them another chance, although she understood if we didn’t. She asked me if we did decide to try again, to let her know, so she could be certain we were treated well. It would be nice to think you didn’t have to go through this to be treated well in a restaurant, but I understand what she was saying, and how difficult it is to run a service business. I will lobby the group to suggest we try again.
Hopefully, next time I will be able to write a glowing review, as we have enjoyed the food when...

And, if you get Rasheeda as your server, you've hit the jackpot. My friend & I went to dinner and we fortunate enough to have Rasheeda take care of us; she never left us wanting and was just a delight to boot. We may have come for the food, but our wonderful server truly made the night for us and her bosses would do well to give her a pay raise for her amazing service so she's able to continue providing it and drawing customers like us back.
And speaking of the food, [insert gif of Homer Simpson drooling here]! The gator bites, the parmesan oysters; yum yum yum, it was all so good! Not only does Six Feet Under have quality on their side, but quantity & variety. If you love any kind of sea food, you'll find a delicious meal and then some when it comes to options.
And to top it all off, we loved dining in the outdoor patio. It had just enough amenities to keep us comfortable without stifling a great open air experience. Fresh air, good climate, no bugs, and a feng shui arrangement; it was just so so nice to sit out there from the late afternoon to the early evening.
In conclusion; I left one satisfied customer and if you want to join me in that club, get yourself & your loved ones a meal at Six Feet Under; you'll be so...
Read moreMy experience was terrible today at 3 PM Saturday I walked in and a host sat me down at the table. I waited 10 minutes before someone came to offer me water. When she brought the water the glass was dirty and things were floating in it so I asked the hosted to just bring me a water cup. 5 minutes went by the waiter came so I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with NO TOMATOS and fries. The waiter comes back with my food. I took a bite of it, and it had tomato’s. I asked for them to remake it so they did but then when I paid, I was only going to tip the waiter 10% because my meal was only $15.25 but they forced me to tip them 25% on an app which made it $22.62. I tried speaking to the manager and she just brushed me off not knowing I could’ve been allergic to tomatoes because the waiter wasn’t PAYING ATTENTION . The manager didn’t care she just swept it under the rug and said that since I paid with the app, I had to tip The waiter 25% which I didn’t want to because of my experience was terrible and my food was not how I asked. It’s unacceptable because if I would have had an allergic reaction then I bet she would have took it serious. Ps. I DISPUTED THE TRANSACTION WITH MY BANK AND GOT MY FUNDS BACK SINCE THE MANAGER WASN'T ...
