Read moreWhat an amazing experience at Frazie’s! From the produce to the meat and seafood, not to mention the amazing olive oils, spices and sauces, we were thoroughly impressed. The butcher on site was knowledgeable and helpful, his suggestions were on point. We purchased a couple of bone in ribeyes, some fresh snapper and local georgia shrimp, even some frozen and fresh stuff from the freezer and the cooler and so far none has disappointed! Can’t wait to go back for lunch and try what looks like an amazing sandwich selection. If we didn’t already have plans to cook dinner I would’ve just gotten some Sammy’s and chips and some of their wine or beer selections, which was surprisingly extensive, and had at them. I should mention they also have a number of nonalcoholic drink choices like kombucha and fruit sodas that we also tried and thoroughly enjoyed. It’s so nice to have a great market and sandwich shop so close to us in a local joint that is growing and really cares about quality and service. As a long time former chef in Atlanta and familiar with the distributors that they are using and they quality or product I’d serve in my restaurants I’d be remiss if I didn’t give this gem the 5 stars it deserves. I always try to support local businesses but sometimes are disappointed, and I never leave reviews, good or bad, but go try this place...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place! My hubby and I have started a tradition of going here about once a week to grab lunch from the counter (they make incredible sandwiches - the pimento cheese and bologna is my favorite so far - even if you aren't typically a fan of bologna, you have GOT to try this) and then look at the meats to figure out what to grill/smoke that day for dinner. They also carry fresh local produce that is delicious. Prices on those are comparable to the organic produce at a major grocery chain, but quality is definitely higher. As for the meat pricing, it's pretty comparable to the better cuts of meat at a grocery store, and definitely cheaper (about 2/3 the price) than other specialty butchers we've been to in town. We recently picked up a porterhouse. Husband seared it on a cast iron with only salt and pepper on it, then threw it in the smoker to finish - and oh my word - that steak was better than most of the nice steakhouses I've been to in Atlanta (and I'm fortunate enough that I've been to most of them).
And if that wasn't enough, they also carry a good selection of wine and local beers. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and I've had a fun time talking with them about different cooking styles and recipes, plus pairings. So, obviously, can't say enough good things about this spot. Definitely...
