Definitely five stars for the fact that they employ residence of different abilities and the price is appropriate for what you get. Does this tea match my experience at luxury places? No, but keep in mind it was like a third of the cost.
The tea room is located at the back of the thrift store and I have to say I was quite impressed. Once you're there you'll forget you're even in a thrift store. Letting you wear one of the hats during your experience is definitely a plus.
As far as the food goes, they were very accommodating towards a vegetarian diet. I thought the server was quite knowledgeable and thoughtful when he informed us that they have a chickpea "chicken" sandwich after we briefly mentioned at the very beginning about our restrictions. Read moreI have to disagree with the reviewer who said the price of a meal here is appropriate for what you get. You get much more! I think we paid what a meal at a fast food place might cost, and got all kinds of treats, 4 half sandwiches, fruit, chips, tea--more than we could eat. Served on fine china, too.
And you might get a hurried smile or welcome at a fast food or fast casual place, but here you get great service and a genuine welcome, a cute setting, and really nice food. Plus, you can wear a fancy hat if you're feeling festive!
