Hop Shing — Restaurant in Atlantic Beach

OMG .... And NOT in a good way ... Perhaps the worst Chinese food I've eaten in 20 years ... Fried rice that was simply yellow rice ... Singapore noodles that had a grand total of 1/8 of a teaspoon of curry powder in the entire takeout container ... The noodles were still white in color ... And Szechuan beef that should have been advertised as Szechuan zucchini because that was the main ingredient ... The world's most bland unspiced brown sauce, that may as well have been a packet of brown gravy from the supermarket with some soy sauce mixed in ... Again no spice at all .... In what was supposed to be a fiery spice-forward dish .... Literally this place is as if their cook was named Roy who had borrowed his mother's copy of "Betty Crocker's How to cook Chinese Food" cookbook .... And the introduction to The cookbook had eight paragraphs on how the only spices that should be used are salt pepper and soy, because according to Betty "the American palate can handle nothing more, and will believe the soy sauce makes it taste exotic". . . . What a freaking sham. STAY AWAY...

Didn't get our food. Called to find out about Uber driver told the lady on the phone I wanted the manager or owner and that we never received our order. She asked me every time what's the order I told her I don't know my husband ordered it. Everytime I told her I'm sure you can look up his name with the his credit card number y'all charged. Again she says after going around and around with her what's the order. It's all she would ask and again for the fifth time I told her I don't know what the order was my husband ordered it. We gave them $34.00 of our hard earned money for their food. I told her I just worked an elevin hour day and I'm pregnant and to please help. She just laughed at me and hung up on me. They have no regards for their customers well being what so ever. Never ordering from them again. They don't care about their customers that's very clear. They must not need the business either. I've never been so disappointed in this place that I am now we've been going to this place for years maybe about twice a month and I spent almost $90 with the food I got the fried chicken with some lo mein the chicken was overdone the noodles tasted really bad my granddaughter got the generel tsos chicken she said that was hard she gave us some egg rolls which she gave us some extra egg rolls and all of them were burnt. I got some fried rice which didn't taste really that bad and we got some crab rangoon which tastes pretty good but everything else we couldn't believe it we were the first ones there and figure everything was going to be fresh but it wasn't. So we won't be back for a very long long long long long long long long long time yeah so we were very disappointed in this...
