I tried several martial arts schools before coming to Ronin. All the others I had reservations with, so I would keep looking. But all it took was one class for me to realize that Ronin was the place for me. They don't waste a lot of time with rituals like so many of the other schools did. No lineups or bowing or anything like that. Warmups are doable, though at my age, I sometimes have to step aside while they are being done. The drills are done in a manner that is very helpful. While it's usually a challenge to get the moves down, you get sufficient time to practice them and they will show you as many times as it takes to help you. Pete and his helpers are excellent instructors and class is always fun, but can be exhausting, especially when it's time to roll! The other students are also a terrific bunch. It's very obvious that I'm the oldest one in the place and most of the other students, I am old enough to be their father. But nobody ever treats me like "an old man". They treat me like just another student. I seriously can't say enough good things about this establishment. If you're looking for a BJJ studio in the Attleboro area, look no further. The price is reasonable and unlike other places, for your monthly fee, you can attend as many classes as you like. So if you're interested in martial arts, what are you waiting for? Get on down to Ronin! ...
Read moreZoey and Peter at Ronin were so amazing, helpful and fun. I attended a networking event for work here and it was a wonderful time. Very spacious and clean facility with super knowledgeable and helpful coaches. I had never taken any sort of self defense class prior to my experience at Ronin so I was a little nervous and unsure what to expect. Zoey and Peter were great at teaching everyone patiently step by step and it was a comfortable setting for everyone of all ages and experience levels. I would recommend a class like this to everyone! It was fun, educational and it was great to be taught by two individuals so knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about...
Read morePeter Beerman and all of the coaches at Ronin are nothing short of amazing. I have been training here for over 2 years, and they have supported me at every step of my journey to learn this complex and beautiful art. The gym is clean, with a wide assortment of training equipment. The atmosphere is positive and welcoming. My 9 year old son recently started training here as well, and I have to say we couldn’t be happier. It’s not for the faint of heart, but I would recommend Ronin to anyone looking for a challenging, fun, and enriching experience, or anyone else looking to get started with...
