Awful experience both with installers and store management. We had tile work done in our bathrooms at the end of 2019, and the installers were a nightmare. They harassed and fed human food to our pets resulting in vet bills, made a mess of our landscape causing fines from our HOA, and raised our floors so high we had to redo plumbing and purchase new doors. They attempted to cut our doors, doing so poorly and at an angle, just so they could fit over the tile. They also didn’t even finish grouting and left gaps all along the borders. They then wanted us to pay extra for materials, not originally in the contract, to redo the sub flooring. This was not discussed until the work was “finished.” This was almost an additional $600. The additional expenses of vet bills, HOA fines, and new plumping and doors was also over $600. We spoke to someone of store management and we’re assured the added subfloor cost would be waived as it was not discussed before the work was done, as well as the added costs from the poor integrity of the installers. Shame on me for trusting them, because a year later I’ve received a bill from a collections agency acting on The Home Depot’s behalf. I then called the corporate office to resolve the matter. The representative informed me there was nothing annotated of my previous discussion, but that they would reach out to the store for more information. A few days later I receive a call from the corporate representative that the store takes no ownership of the matter and that I need pay the balance. I am beside myself that, even with proof of damages, The Home Depot would respond this way. The lack of integrity, empathy, and professionalism I’ve experienced is incredible, and I am overwhelmingly disappointed. Attached are some photos of damages caused by The Home Depot and it’s affiliates.

Rude very rude I call while in the store talking to a guy named MARTIN and he is right in front of me at Customer service and don’t know he’s on the phone with me and tell me his name is Joe and he had just got done with my transaction knowing his name’s on the receipt, I just wanted to speak with the manager and I was looking at him as He was on the phone, just sitting there, lying to me, asking other coworkers to lie for him about his name because he had a bad attitude about a store return and they seem like they didn’t even consider anything I was telling them sincerely, I’m here for my grandmother who is 75 years old. I have been there three times in the last week and showed other receipts. I just needed help with one item because I found the wrong thing I will never return again. I’m not used to shopping here they told me to sell it back on the street! If I could give you zero stars, it will be there

Looking for a generator. Bad weather on the way! Ice-apocalypse! Polar vortex! Bomb cyclone! Or some such nastiness... Home Depot by me (smaller store) had a few on carts, ready to go, with gas cans and extension cord on the carts as well. Unfortunately, these Ryobi generators were WAY overpriced at $799. The only other machines they had were small units (less than 2000W), that were inverter generators. These, too, were priced very high, but they had fancy bluetooth connectivity! All in all, the gentleman working the generator area at Home Depot was very knowledgeable about all of his generators. Home Depot, you've got a great staff! Too bad you guys weren't prepared for, what's being billed as, a major ice storm! Who knew? Btw, I found a gennie down the road at Menards. It has dual fuel (gas or LP), Briggs & Stratton engine. Puts out 500W less than the Ryobi for $399. Sorry guys.

I had the worst experience in this store. I bought a washer and dryer paid all this extra money for delivery. I paid in cash they never delivered it on the the day. I didn't get a phone call saying they were not coming. I had to call them. They were not apologetic. They rescheduled it a week later. They came and said they could not install they dryer. They could not take my old one. Then said it would not fit through my door that they could leave it outside. I refused the sell and told them I wanted my money back. They said I would have to call the store. So I did the manger said I would have no problem getting my money to come in the store that night or in the morning. So the next morning I call and talk to another manger he said no problem come get my money. I get there in the afternoon and they refused to give me my money saying they don't no where the delivery put the product. The manger saw they had the product. He called the store manager who I talked to the night before he told him to give me my money. He didn't no how and told me to come back 3 to 5 days and I paid cash. Something I thought that should have been easy was the worst experience of my life. I wouldn't recommend Home Depot to anyone especially the delivery service. Awful customer service! So I went to Best buy and got the same washer and dryer with great service. Home Depot lost a big sell and my service from...

Edited review, this is strictly for home depot, concerning 2 thing's 1 lumber prices that have come down but not enough, I did a lot of homework and have many different responses on why the lumber has went up and since I have 30+ years in trees and lumber I'm dropping what I believe to be the truth as to why, lumber is up 130% beyond the normal prices (NOT COOL) why is it up simple (quality Control) alot of builders we're contracting to building 30 homes and going belly up at 28 and screwing folks and contractors and in the process building these oversized huge homes that are flat out ugly and have zero reason for being built and when they were 5 years down the road they fell apart and the homeowner is screwed and no one without a 40+ foot ladder or lift can repair the house much less wants to because the insurance is to much for them to hire honest labor that would risk climbing the ladder, our technology and willingness to not care about each other has superceded our humanity. Read between those lines and the rest...
