My mother placed a balloon order on Saturday at 7pm. While placing the order, she was told it would be completed that night and available for pickup the next morning. No name was asked for—only a phone number.
When I arrived Sunday at 11am to pick up the balloons, I was treated very poorly. I explained I was there to pick up an order and provided both a name and phone number. The staff immediately shoved a paper in my face, repeating that there was no name written down, and insisted the balloons should have been picked up Saturday at 7pm. This was frustrating, as the order was placed at 7pm and my mother was specifically told they could not do it that night, which is why pickup was arranged for the following day.
The staff was defensive and rude from the start, despite me not even mentioning any issue with the balloons yet. Unfortunately, the balloons I was given were already deflated and some even popped. When I asked, I was told “helium doesn’t do well overnight.” Again, this contradicts the arrangement, as the pickup was scheduled for the next day, not the same evening.
As a paying customer, the experience was extremely disappointing. The way I was spoken to and treated was unacceptable, and it was clear the staff was more concerned with shifting blame than providing service. Mistakes can happen, but professionalism and courtesy should never...
Read moreWent in the store today to have a picture custom framed. I and another lady waited a very long time for someone to show up at the counter. She finally gave up and left. I walked to the front to ask the girl at the front to please send someone back to framing. When I got back to the framing counter she was there. She never said a word to me. I grabbed a few frame moldings and mat’s to try around my picture. She still offered no help and in fact just tinkered on the computer. After a few minutes, I packed up my picture and just left. Hobby Lobby will get my money tomorrow. This lady was rude and had NO customer manners. This happened at 2:15, Sunday August 4, 2019. I wish I had gotten her name tag but if I am not mistaken the girl at the front desk said it was the manager that would have to help with custom framing. I never leave bad reviews but I am this time so hopefully the right person will see this and correct their...
Read moretoday I went into the Opelika/auburn michaels store. since the local hobby shop has closed I needed some flat military model paint. when I found the very small selection...it was locked behind a plexiglass shield. I asked for help and the employee called [over the radio] that a { gentleman} needs help with paint. 10 minutes later nothing had happened. I guess that they have had problems with paint sniffers or shop lifters hence locking up the spray cans...in any event this cost them over $100 in paint,2 model tank kits and the water based glue I use to make windows in place of using the clear plastic supplied in most...
