I have seen ads on Facebook the last few days for KFC Give Us Another Chance. Not sure why they needed another chance, even though it has been a few years since we have eaten there. Well, this was their second chance.
I should have known this would be a disaster when we pulled up. It was about 10 minutes after 8PM. There were people inside eating. The sign on the door said they were open until 10PM. Frigging door was locked. That should have been a giant red flag. Like idiots, we went ahead and went through the drive through. We ordered, by number. Two #4 combo meals. (3 piece chicken strip meals). Easy enough. We pull around and the young lady at the window asks if we had the 3 piece meals. I confirmed, thinking, yes, we ordered 3 piece chicken strips. She even verified that we had BBQ sauce. We get our meals, drive home, sit down to eat and open up two boxes of bitter disappointment. We both had the correct side, biscuit and drink. We also had 3 pieces of chicken each. That's where it went off the rails. Six pieces of dark meat, thighs and legs. My wife doesn't like dark meat. She was pissed. Essentially her dinner was cole slaw and two biscuits. I will eat legs and thighs, but they are not my favorite. I had a single thigh, and mashed potatoes (I gave her my biscuit). So not only did we not get the meals we ordered, it cost us more than it should have, because they entered the wrong order. I should have caught it then but figured it was just the taxes.
Just an all around crappy experience. Next time I will drive a few extra blocks and eat at Olive Oyls boyfriends place, or the place the Nitty Gritty Dirt band sang about.
KFC, you had your second chance...
Read moreWhen I arrived at the store the door was locked. No one was in the drive thru or inside, so I placed an online order for my son. The order time was 9:08pm. The order was estimated to be ready at 9:15pm. I pulled up at the window and the young lady asked that I pull up and she will bring the order out. I watched from the parking lot and saw there was no sense of urgency with completing the order at all. I know it was late and staff was probably tired, but it was a painfully slow wait. The young lady did not come out to bring my son the order until 9:35pm. She came out the side door accompanied by another co-worker. They seemed so caught up in their conversation and neither seemed to have any urgency to give me the food. I literally had to tell my son to get out the car and retrieve the food. The food was warm, but it was not freshly hot as you would assume it would be especially with the long wait time. Despite it all, my son enjoyed the food but the wait time for the food was painfully slow and took away from the experience. During this whole time, no other customer even came through the drive thru. I don’t suggest anyone go to KFC late at night unless you have the patience to wait a long time...
Read moreOrdered at 5pm. 5:15 got a notice that my order was ready. Walked inside and proceeded to wait until 6pm. In the meantime, they locked the doors so no more customers could come in. At this point there are about 5 people waiting. At 6:15 my order is ready (so 1 hour 15 minutes after I ordered) I'm the last customer in the building, a guy hands me my bag, ushers me out and locks the door behind me. I notice almost immediately that my order is totally wrong, like 100% wrong, but now I can't get back in. I get in the drive-thru line and proceed to wait another 25 minutes because I am 5th in line. When I finally get to the window it is now almost 6:40 and I'm over it. I gave them the bag, told the drive-true lady that every thing was completely wrong despite waiting over an hour and was like "I really just want a refund at this point" and she said that she can't give a refund because I ordered online. Honestly, this place sucks so bad. Everyone that works there just needs to be fired and the place bulldozed. I'll never go back. I requested a refund online and still haven't heard back from anyone. Everyone from management down is completely useless...
