I just left this place of business and received the worst level of customer service I have ever experienced in retail. That is saying a lot due to the amount of travel I do and retailers I visit for work purposes on a day today basis for over the past 10 years.
My wife purchased a product from this store "The Stash Box"on Saturday. Upon making her purchase, she was advised that if the product did not work when she got home. She could simply come back and they would replace the product over the counter.
I entered the store this morning, with the product and receipt in hand looking simply exchange the product for one that was functioning properly.
I was advised that they not do exchanges. I explained that the person who had helped her that it would be no problem as long as she had the receipt. He told me he would never say that. I explained it was on Saturday and he said "well, that wasn't me and I can't do anything".
I explained that I have had experience with other shops like his in the city (his competition) and they made exchanges within the first two weeks of purchases. His response was, "well, we don't and it is apparently against the law." This information would have been beneficial to know prior to making the purchase. If she would have known that, she would have tested the product prior to leaving. At that point, I said, "well, this is the last purchase I'm making here and word of mouth travels quickly."
He then told me that I need to stop running my mouth and then proceeded to kick me out of his store. I said I was not running my mouth, I was just voicing my opinion as a customer.
His last words were. "Tell whoever I like, it doesn't matter. Now get out."
This treatment is absolutely unacceptable, not only as a customer, but as a person. I am posting this experience on this page, my personal Facebook page, Twitter and whatever median I can find to voice my disgust with this establishment. My wife will be doing the same.
I hope others that have had a poor experience with The Stash Box on main street in Dartmouth share their experience until there is some type of resolution.

You walk in to a dark unmaintained shop, that fits the bill of hood shop. Second the budrenders have zero product knowledge, as well as zero cannabis knowledge. Both times I have tried this place out was just horrible service. I would not shop here if it wasn't the only place in auburn atm that carries polar icextracts ice wax and rosin. As well as feeling completely insulted after provoding valid military identification. I'm sorry I will not risk my benefits so you can have a copy of my dd214. No shop ever has harassed me or has given me more trouble with my military discount than this shop. As a veteran of 2 tours, I of all people should not have to fight for my cannabis, I did enough of that already. Unless management reads this or attempts to resolve this issue I will never go back, and of all people I been in this industry longer than most of these companies and products and will make sure I spread the word about my experience today.

Read moreMy favorite thing about this shop is that they have a decent selection of flower with lower price points. There are too many shops that don't have cheaper options for a 1 gram bag. I've been to many shops that will sell grams for 12$-15$ maybe one or two 10$ gram options if you are lucky but nothing lower than that. I'm the type of person who does not want to spend more than $10 a gram and sometimes will buy the super cheap stuff at 6$ or 8$ per gram. And I have never been disappointed in the quality. Yes top shelf is top shelf however I've had many $8 grams that I was very satisfied with. This shop has been great when I'm broke at the end of the month. however I'm giving it four stars for the fact that when I call the number listed there is no option to speak with an actual employee. My wife likes CBD products but not all shops have what she needs. I was trying to call and ask them about their CBD products in stock however unfortunately I was not able to speak with anyone. This will be extremely frustrating if I drive out there hoping to find a specific product just to discover that they don't have what I'm looking for. A simple phone call would solve this issue.
