Customers beware of Aldi 'encouraging' customers to use their new automated checkouts.
Unfortunately, they have hired one bully employee per store tasked with guiding, pushing and forcing us to use these machines. And still only one unattended human checkout line. Now it feels like Wal-Mart. But if you say anything to the employee bully or the manager, they immediately gaslight you, tell you you are wrong about everything you point out, and brazenly stonewall your concern. The Manager, Sharon I think, apparently has been trained by upper management to force the change and ignore customer resistance. Going out of the store an incoming customer said they had the same experience and told the bullying employee to 'go to Hell'.
It is unfortunate that Aldi has chosen to become hostile against their own customers. Don't expect them to change. They are prepared to blame you for your feelings. Like when someone dismisses you by saying' I'm sorry that's...
Read moreLarger than usual Aldi. The store is new very clean and well laid out. This Aldi seems to have more of the merchandise stuff than a typical unit. I like Aldi for certain products though there dairy leaves quite a bit to be desired milk being not very good, butter also not very good quality, though it is cheap. The meat is usually very good quality and priced very well. as with any Aldi it's kind of Hit and Miss, if you see something that appears to be a very good buy make sure that you buy plenty at that stop because you'll likely not see it again. Overall I have made it a regular part of my shopping experience though I do prefer Publix. Aldi is by far superior to a Walmart on many levels, the lack of a large selection leaves something to be desired. I do like many of the German brands in the store they tend to be a very high quality and if you enjoy European Goods you can always find something funky and...
Read moreWe stopped here to grab a few things while on vacation. The store did not appear to be dirty by no means. Some of the produce needed to be pulled but it was towards the end of their day. It could have been easily overlooked. We bought two paper bags to put our groceries in. We made one stop before we returned to our RV. I started to unpack the first bag. I removed the last item from the bag and several adult and baby roaches were at the bottom. I threw the bag outside and they scattered. My husband emptied the second bag outside and saw the same thing. They were hiding under the flaps of the bag. There were chew holes in the bread bag. The bag of potatoes also had a few inside. I was so disgusted. I became sick to my stomach and couldn't eat supper. It honestly ruined...
