To whom it may concern,||I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at the Baymont by Wyndham Augusta West Hotel, managed by Yazmin Locklear. As an African American woman traveling with my sons, I felt racially profiled and mistreated during our stay.||I had reservations from Wednesday, July 9th, through July 14th, but we checked in on July 10th due to flight delays. Upon arrival, I noticed trash on the elevator floor and a foul smell when I exited on the third floor. There was an overflowing trash can outside the elevator. The toilet had urine stains in our room, and the towels were dirty. I reported this to the hotel representative who checked us in, and while he provided additional towels, the trash issues remained unresolved throughout our stay.||On Friday, July 11th, I attempted to purchase chips from the hotel store but found most had expired. I informed a staff member named Tristan, who acknowledged my complaint but left the expired chips on display. On Saturday evening, July 12th, I discovered the TV cables were disconnected. When I called the front desk for assistance, the staff member rudely informed me that maintenance would not be available until the next morning and hung up.||On Sunday morning, around 9:00 AM, I asked Tristan about checking out a day early due to my dissatisfaction. She informed me that her manager would not be in until 10:00 AM. When I spoke with Yazmin at 10:00 AM and reiterated my concerns, she initially stated that if I had paid directly to the hotel, she would refund me for the additional day. However, since I booked through Booking.com, she advised me to contact them.||After speaking with Booking.com and being reminded that my reservation did not receive any additional discounts because I opted to pay in full at the hotel, Yazmin changed her stance. She began yelling at me in the lobby and denied my refund request, claiming my concerns were only raised that morning. Another guest also complained about similar issues during this time.||Yazmin then called the police and falsely accused us of being hostile guests. Fortunately, I had video evidence of the incident and photos of my concerns. The officers were understanding and not biased.||This experience caused unnecessary stress, sadness, embarrassment, and anxiety for my sons and me. I have not received a refund and had to pay for another hotel on July 13th.||I strongly advise against staying at the Baymont by Wyndham Augusta West Hotel. Yazmin's behavior exemplifies poor leadership, and she should be held accountable for...
Read moreAnts in the bathroom. I only WISH that was my only complaint…but the bigger(?) issue:|They are under construction - which they failed to notify the third party I used for booking - and the hotel had our room on the floor that construction started on the morning of our reservation, which woke us up early in the morning. On top of that, someone opened our door early that morning as well - thank goodness for the lock that goes across to stop people from coming in our room. |When I brought these issues to the front desk as we scurried away from the ant-infested bathroom (as I doubt they only in the bathroom), the front desk blamed the third-party site I used to book (which, again, had NOT been informed of the construction) and then said the 2nd floor construction just began that morning - then WHY PLACE PEOPLE ON THAT FLOOR?!?! We were in room 217 - the pictures submitted with this review were taken as we left before 9 a.m. the 3rd of January. I wish I could add video of the ants - across the floor, the door and countertop of the bathroom - and one right by my toothbrush. Disgusting. |The hotel has offered no compensation - they said because I had used my reservation they would not offer anything - even though HOW WOULD I KNOW THEIR CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE?!? |The lack of accountability from Baymont by Wyndham Augusta West is just astounding. I will not waste my time, or my money, at this establishment again. Please do yourself a favor and skip Baymont by Wyndham - hospitality is apparently very low on...
Read moreI stayed at the property this past Saturday. The sheets on the bed of the first room I was given was covered in hair that resembled pet hair. So apparently the sheets had not been changed. The second room I was given was fine, so I thought. The next morning I woke up and went into the bathroom to gather my things and there was a roach crawling across the counter and went into my toiletry bag. There was no one at the desk when I check out so I left and called the property about an hour later. I spoke to someone who wrote my name down to give to a manager because I was told there was no manger on duty on the weekend. I got a call Monday morning from a manager name Yasmin Leckler and I explained the situation to her. She was very unprofessional, rude, condescending and over talked me the entire conversation. I asked for a refund and she told me that it was IHG policy not to offer refunds. I was her to email me the policy and she hung...
