The venue at the Riverclub Golf Club is not conducive to providing the experience expected based on other reviews and video advertisements.

The lack of sound system, tall ceilings and oversized area made it very difficult to hear/follow the script in a room of 80 people. The layout of the tables (grouped tightly to aid in the audio issues) made it hard to see what was going on unless you were in the front. My group of 14 gave up on trying to participate and left before dessert.

The biggest disappointment was the food. The salad and appetizers were put on the tables in advance and were not fresh or covered in any way which was off-putting since the venue is open to the outside and there were flies in the space.

We arrived right on time and the salad was already wilted and warm. The “skewers” were six small cheese/meat sticks served for the whole table of 10 people so not even enough for each person at the table. Overall it was highly disappointing and certainly not worth the price of admission.

We were so excited but left very disappointed and felt cheated of a what was expected to be a great event. I would not go again unless it were relocated and improved. I wish we could request a refund. The MVP of the night was “Sue Flay” who served great drinks and...

This event was AWSOME!! I wanted to do something different for my birthday, and this was truly it! I invited my family and friends to come out and I was a little nervous at first because, this was something we have never done before and I did not want them to feel awkward, but when it was time, they fit right on in asking questions, trying to figure out who did it. I was even put in it without me even knowing, my son and another participant even did a great job in re enacting a part of the murder by singing, it was hilarious!! We are all most certainly coming back and bringing more people, this is a great adult outing that should be on everyone's, list of to do things around the city. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and it was a great chance to meet different people that you would not other wise speak to, who could possibly in real life be your neighbor OR at this event, the Killer! We literally went to the store the next day and ran into the stabbing lady who was in the lineup! (you had to be there) and they said the same they had a great time as well and will be attending again. I also heard they are in Columbia, SC as well, I will be going there when they perform as well as the Christmas one here in Augusta. A must go to event!!! A great...

We had an awesome experience at The Dinner Detective. It was unlike anything else I’ve ever been a part of. It was unusual, exciting, and engaging— if you chose to really pay attention and participate. The actors were great— especially the main host— Everett(?). He and the other actors really carried the entire experience. I really appreciate how much they put themselves out there for us to all have a great experience. The food was fine, but I admit, for the entry price, my expectations were a little higher. The food service was bare bones.

Again— I can’t say enough good things about the actors. They made the experience absolutely worthwhile, and based on their merit alone, I’d do it again and recommend it to others.
