Post Exchange — Local services in Augusta

Seven employees up front and two working the register. The employee that is working one register is holding a whole conversation with the patrons. No regular registers open. Self service is a joke due to you need to go to a regular register for gift cards and jewelry. The majority of employees are senior citizens and extremely slow. Worse exchange ever and getting worse.

Update: Post exchange has not changed. There are no regular lane registers open, it is the holiday season. Self checkout does not accept coupons. Lady at the customer service has held a conversation with a customer forn10 minutes, meanwhile, there are customers waiting in line. I do not know why this exchange is still stuck back in time. Retirees are the employees for the most part, they are not helping, the staff is slow and older. Between the old Commissary, the PX, and the hospital, this entire base needs...

Went to the Charlie’s. Took a while to get my food but it was fine and my chicken cheesesteak was great. The strawberry lemonade is also amazing. There were a lot of flies, but it’s the middle of summer, so it’s understandable.

Now, the reason why this review is 2 stars is because while I was sitting down and eating, I heard my favorite singer come on the speakers. “Mine,” by Taylor Swift. I start mumbling the lyrics when all of a sudden, I actually LISTEN to the song. It’s not Taylor’s Version.

I am appalled that Fort Gordon, the base that is trying to better itself by renaming the base (which is/was named after a Confederate soldier), would play a version of a song that was stolen from its original writer and singer. I am disgusted by the behavior being conducted on this base.
