Park To Shop Supermarket Aurora — Local services in Aurora

This was my 1st time shopping here. I just happened to stumble across it and decided to check out the area. This is right off Rt 59 and Aurora Ave in Naperville. It seems to be an up and coming Asian style strip mall that is offering a lot of great options. There is a BonChon, a Pho restaurant, a soon to be Korean hot dog restaurant, some Boba shops, and a few more restaurants still under construction. Further down in the lot is a Korean bbq & Karaoke. Inside the park n shop the prices were reasonable, cheaper than H-mart. I am a huge fan of Korean snacks, but they lacked in that area, and it was disappointing. But they offer great baked goods, seafood prices are nice and they have a nice area for home goods. Their refrigerator areas were almost empty for a lot of things like tteokbokki rice cakes, sauces, fresher noodles, but man, they had an AMAZING ramen wall, yes WALL. It felt like it never ended. They do not have a solid alcoholarea (extremely small), so I would hit H-mart for that. I wish they had a designated beverage isle because they were all kind of scattered in every endpapers and around every freezer area, so it was a little overwhelming. The workers were friendly as well. They do have a food court which had a Cajun boil, CM Chicken, a boba place and a few Chinese food places but almost half of them were closed(mind you it was 1pm on a Tuesday and as a foodie it was a let down. The lighting in that section was dark, and it just felt sad ( think opposite of H-Marts food court), so we opted not to eat there because I didn’t want to be sad while I ate. Terrible experience on the grand opening day 7/29. We did have high expectation of this store since the news announcement from about two years ago.

1, The store is ready for lion dancing and owners' social activities. not for the shoppers. Half of the shelves are empty and about half without price label among the merchandises on the shelf.

2, I don't blame the new employee's slowness because they are not familiar with the system. There are some checkouts slower than others and generating long lines. Customers are packed closely. That ridicules the signs posted everywhere in the store to ask people keep social distance due to the COVID-19. On the other hand, there are more than half dozen young staff wonder around the store with cell phones on hand and look over the crowd without taking action to guide the customers as other big box stores such Costco.. It's NOT safe and healthy to shop here at all due to the negligent of the management.

3, The shopping carts are the all-wheel-swivel type which in my professional observation, is somehow dangerous to control on a slop or in a parking area.

Although it's cleaner and wider than its Chinatown sister store. Overall, this store is far away to open sufficiently. I'll follow up in the future when it's fully running.

Park to Shop is a nice alternative to the big H Mart over here. It's a Chinese market, but they do have Asian foods from other areas as well. There is fresh bamboo for purchase, I actually bought a huge bundle for my wedding centerpieces and they gave me a discount since I was getting married. They have housewares as well, and there is a food court with your typical chicken stands and boba. I'm sure teens would be into the big angel wings on the wall that you can take selfies with. Lol. The pricing is pretty decent, the produce is typically good quality. They have a fun snacks section...if you're looking for weird Lay's chips or Pringles chips flavors, they have a bunch. They also have a HUGE array of instant ramen options to browse on the back wall. You can purchase red envelopes and hell money for Lunar New Year and it is going to be WAY cheaper than online or another big box store. There is a fresh fish area as well, much better than the selection at H Mart. All in all, a fun time out if you aren't familiar with asian markets and want to explore..and if you ARE Asian like my husband, you'll find ingredients that you need for traditional...
