Absolutely worst customer service in Austin! I went to this store to get a quote on a home theater project. The salesman was rude from the start, but things just got worse as we continued talking. The final straw was when he asked what type of buyer I am. He was very accusatory that I was there to audition the items in the store only to buy them online. I had not given any reason for him to think that I was there to waste his time or buy online, he was simply being rude and unprofessional. In fact, if he would have spent more time thinking and less time being aggressive he would have noted that the items I want to buy are not sold online, in fact the items are so new that you can't even buy them used. On top of that I was asking for installation of the items and wiring of my home, which are services that you can't just buy off of ebay. It's important to note that even if I was there to "audition" items, I simply could have lied to him and told him that I would buy from them and he wouldn't know the difference if I decided to go buy from amazon or something afterward. It's a pointless question to ask. It was very frustrating, so I left the store. I would not trust a company like this to do ANY work at my house and I would not purchase anything from them. I was in the market for a new TV, and stereo system, and stopped in here on a recommendation from a friend who bought her Pioneer Elite Plasma there years ago. I had a rough budget and timeframe when I went in, and they took the time to listen to that, and let me listen to myriad setups. Harlon was patient, and let me listen to my choice of music so I could get a feel for the sound.
I had a fair idea of where to go with config at that point and left to continue my research elsewhere (online, and places like Magnolia within Best Buy). While they have some good options at BB, the staff was nowhere near as knowledgeable (not surprising).
Once I had my budget sorted I went back to A&B, I think they were a little surprised in all honesty lol, but had more of an idea of what components to narrow down to. Again they were happy to have me listen to a variety of setups, and I ultimately decided on something I wasn't entirely expecting, but made the most sense, and sounded fantastic.
I ended up buying a big Sony TV (but a cheaper one than I was thinking - they won't push you to buy something more expensive that you don't need), Bowers & Wilkins speakers and stands, a JL Audio sub, and a Yamaha Receiver. To say I'm happy with the result is an understatement, and the help, and final price, that I received from A&B was unbeatable.

Read moreI was shopping online for an AV receiver for our new home which had pre-existing speakers in the tv room along with a whole house audio system. After hours on some of the big electronic online sites I decided to see if there were any local audio shops that might have what I needed. I found A&B and the reviews were outstanding so I gave them a call. Jeffery answered the phone on the first ring and I explained my needs. He suggested I a unit with at least 100 watts was needed given the speakers present and offers options from Denon, Integra and Yamaha, all of which he had in stock. I was already considering Denon and Integra, but hadn't purchased any stereo equipment in more than 30 yrs so I needed some guidance. I decided to visit the store which was only 15mins away. When I got to the store we discussed various feature sets. He answered my many questions and I purchased the Denon AVR-X3700H. I chose it over a lower priced unit because it best fit my needs. Moreover, the price at A&B was was $102 less than a major online electronics retailer as well as Amazon. Wow...a positive retail purchase experience from a knowledgable expert.
