Austin Flower Company is a fantastic place for flowers! They have decent prices and a really great variety of flowers. I have been in there a few times and the first visit was a great experience thanks to a very helpful staff member (Kyle?). Another visit was even greater with a most courteous and most helpful staff member (sorry I can't remember his name). The third visit was horrendous. Dear Austin Flower Company: please remove your poor excuse of a staffer by the name of Danny. She has terrible customer service skills and doesn't know how to turn around and greet your customers when they enter your shop. Instead, she stands there with her back to customers and when she does finally acknowledge, her tone is extremely disrespectful, curt and totally condescending. There's no excuse for nastiness in the work place, especially when you are dealing face to face with customers who are paying big money for your flowers. As I said, you have a great flower shop but having a disrespectful, nasty, unhelpful staffer is a business killer. Get Danny out of there!!!!!!!!! or get her some customer service training because she's going to talk to the wrong person the wrong way at the wrong time and you could have a huge problem on your hands. I'm sure this isn't the first time she has acted this way toward your customers and I'm sure she's ruined much repeat business for you. Most customers just won't come back after that kind of ill treatment. Her behavior is unacceptable. Thankfully, you have some great staff members that are really great and know how to treat your customers and because of their awesome assistance I will return. I urge you to train Danny on how to provide good customer service and how to talk to customers in the proper tone with dignity and respect. Or better yet, get rid of her and find someone else who is happy to work for their pay. I'm sure...
Read moreGarrett was the BEST! He patiently answered my questions over the phone...and then when I arrived, he def went above and beyond to ensure the bouquet of eucalyptus I bought were everything I was hoping for when I envisioned buying them to cheer up my stressed out sister. He and the other assistant (my apologies I forget her name) took the time to explain the wide variety of options for eucalyptus both inside and outside of the cooler. They educated me on best sellers/most commonly known, most fragrant, the different species, etc. And then when I asked about how they were to be cared for and explained my sister's foot injuries and that I did not want her to have to stand at the sink to fresh cut them...he took the time to help me peel leaves and cut them and provided all of the vase selections. He didn't rush me in my decision and gave his honest opinions when I asked for them. I am truly grateful for his help. My sister absolutely LOVED the bouquet of the 3 types of eucalyptus I picked out. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone that wants a wide selection and knowledgeable and down to earth staff. They don't do arrangements...but are even willing to give references to places that do (I learned this when he courteously explained that to another customer that came in while he was working on mine.) Oh yeah! Garrett even provided a nifty box that held the vase with the eucalyptus and water up without tumping so I could drive stress free knowing they weren't being damaged and safe from falling over. high five...
Read moreVERY disappointed with Austin Flower Co. Contacted them 1-2 mos before he wedding to arrange the kind of roses and lillies we wanted. Was told "no problem" over and over again both by Stephanie and Allana. They were insistent because we had such a small order (2 doz of each) that it was not necessary to "order" they get those on regular deliveries all the time. Confirmed and talked with them again the week before wedding and even the week of....again "no worries we have your name down for pick up "! When I arrived to pick up day before wedding, I was told they didnt have "exactly" what I wanted, but what they did have was basically just about the same !! I used to wonder why there were "bridezillas" ! He proceeded to tell me it was admin/secretary week and they were extremely busy that week and must have run out ! The Caba lillies were now StarGaze and the peach roses, were now yellow with a hint of peach. Not too mention the lillies would probably not open in time...because "we" didnt set them out days before ! PLEASE DO NO PLACE ORDERS with this store, walk in and buy only what you see with your own eyes ! VERY,VERY aggravated with there lack of professional customer...
