Mattress Firm North Lamar — Hotel in Austin

My experience at Matress Firm Rosedale was absolutely fantastic! I had gone to another location and dealt with a salesman that used sales tactics that I didn't quite appreciate to get me into a more expensive bed (that wasn't really what I wanted). I had my mind set on a particular mattress as soon as I walked in the door, and this individual told me that the bed I wanted was more expensive and nowhere near as good as the bed he had in mind. This coupled with several other things just left me and my fiance unsure of whether or not we wanted to buy a bed afterall. Since the bed I wanted wasn't on display I figured that we needed some more time to decide. I then started calling around to different locations to find out if they had the bed I wanted on display. After calling 10 different stores I finally found the one that had the bed I wanted on display (a Serta). After walking into the Rosedale store, and I was met by a kind and warm individual (Juan). I tested the Serta bed out and was almost set to buy. Juan was the manager/salesman for this location and he went above and beyond to ensure I got into the bed that I wanted. After jumping between 2 beds, he recommended that I try another bed, based on my taste. No pressure, no side comments, no downplaying of the bed I originally walked in to try. This bed he recommended was my dream bed. Had it not been for Juan's exceptional knowledge, attention to detail, and kindness, I would not have found the bed that my fiance and I absolutely love. Juan didn't make any suggestions regarding the quality of the bed or the price. He simply mentioned that I might like it based on what we had spoken about thus far. And was he right! Had Juan not made the recommendation based off my taste and needs, I would have walked away without ever knowing that the Beautyrest Scarlett was the bed for me. I didn't know this bed even existed, and I walked away with it based not on salesman pressure or tactics, but because of the knowledge and understanding of my needs and the type of bed I wanted. Thank you so much for everything Juan! I'll be recommending this location and Juan to all my family members and friends....

Buying a new mattress is one of those things that most people don't do enough to really be ready for it when it's time. I've been due to get a new one for a little bit. Last night I decided there was no time like the present (at least to start the process). I noticed that this location was open until 9pm for their holiday sale and figured, what the hell? Maybe I wouldn't be ready to buy something, but couldn't hurt to stop by and see what the options looked like.

Shannon was awesome! Even thought it had been longer than usual day for her, she was friendly and helpful. She walked me through the process of differentiating between their wide selection, and was incredibly patient and with me as I talked out the whole process of deciding what made the most sense for me. What could easily be an anxiety-inducing or awkward process felt simple. She even stayed past 9 to help me figure the whole thing out.

I ended up walking out of the store knowing a new mattress will be arriving at my place in a few days! I never felt pressured, and she clearly would have been fine if I had decided to leave to think about it, but after the thorough processes of helping match me with the right mattress, I ended up feeling pretty confident in the final 3 options. So I haven't ever bought a mattress before, ever. Hey, I'm young, give me a break. However, it was finally the time to find a good new mattress as my old one was a pain in my back. Literally.

I found a Groupon for mattress firm and jumped on it. I first decided to go with a cheaper mattress, but after arriving to the store and lying down on a firmer mattress, I definitely decided that it was worth the extra $$$ to spend a little more for a nicer mattress.

Liz helped me out, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was patient with me (especially as a first time buyer), helped me try out a few options, and was on the ball about pricing, availability, setup, and delivery options. It was even cool that with my $20 donation to Habitat for Humanity, they'd deliver for free! Who knew buying a mattress could help build a home too?

Delivery was quick, same day quick, like 4 hours after buying it quick! The guys who delivered were awesome, helpful and didn't seem like they were in a rush to get out.

You know I used to eat across the street from this store, and thought about saving money by buying online. When it came to it all, the price, the service, the help, I definitely am glad I bought with Mattress Firm.
