I learned about Gear Focus from a Photographer YouTuber who I subscribe to and trust. His recommendation carried a lot of weight with me, so I decided to see what they offered beyond the more typical buy/sell sites and rates like those of eBay, MPB, and others.

First off, and very surprisingly, is their fees, which are far lower than any other similar business...and then are the security features that encompass their procedures and are extremely robust and protect both sellers and buyers from nefarious activity and other issues.

An even more positive experience I have had is dealing with their Customer Service directly! Friendly, helpful, Professional and willing to spend as much time with you as necessary to answer your questions; deal with any issues; and guide you through the use of their platform. FAST problem solving too! AWESOME!!

My first sale was absolutely flawless and completed without any issues whatsoever. Just follow the procedures and all is done perfectly. I earned far more on the sale than I would have on any of the other platforms offering the same services. The many options are fully in the hands of the seller. This is a relatively new company that has clearly delineated the issues that plague other similar activities, and have created a platform that mitigates virtually all of the problems that plague others. They have clearly earned my trust and loyalty, and I will be using them virtually exclusively for selling the range of items that they cater to, including photo, drones, accessories, and more.

Been using Gear Focus as a creator to sell some used and new gear since 2023 and have been pleased with the consistency of the platform. There was a fairly major upgrade about a year ago that now includes a intuitive shipping option that makes the process a lot more seamless for seller and buyer. Gear focus itself is a small business, or at least offers customer service like a small business, being personal and attentive which is really refreshing. You can actually call and talk with someone that is not from a call center in India, but someone who actually has an interest in being helpful. Only thing I hope they correct is that they started expiring listings after 30 days, even if there are multiple products and they have ongoing sales. Honestly, this is irritating and if you're not on top of it your listing ends up hidden from potential buyers. Ebay used to do expiration thing and now there's a checkbox where you can disable this so I hope Gear Focus does something similar. Minus 1/2 star for that. After also selling on Amazon and Ebay and being frustrated by the fees and the policies that seem to stack against a solo creator, Gear focus has been a great option for me and...

I was a bit skeptical in using Gear Focus to sell my expensive gear because I hadn't heard of it until just recently when I found it through a Google search. I'm comfortable selling on sites such as eBay because of the protection for buyers and sellers and because eBay is well established but wasn't quite sure about Gear Focus at this point. Well, I went ahead and posted my item and over the course of a few weeks, I received an offer and few messages regarding my camera for sale and it wasn't long before someone bought my camera for my asking price. So I went ahead and shipped the camera. The process went smoothly. For a split second, I was a little worried because they received it but the buyer hadn't marked it as received, but talking to customer service, they put all of my worries at ease and it didn't take long to receive my money in my bank account. Gear Focus is a gem and I ended up making more money than I would've selling on eBay. I would recommend them to anyone and not only will I be using them to sell gear in the future, but I'll also be browsing Gear Focus when I'm need of used...
