GOLD DEPOT JEWELRY REPAIR — Local services in Austin

I use Gold Depot mostly for repairs. Although I remember repairs being significantly cheaper, times have changed. That said the price increase is understandable. They have beautiful jewelry however again it’s a bit over priced. They want 3x market value on silver. It’s not a bad option, but I’m sure there is probably a place out there that’s a bit more consistent with there pricing. All of that said they do an amazing job of fixing/cleaning jewelry. There work isn’t shady by any means. It’s solid.

🆘🤮HORRIBLE SERVICE🤮🆘I came to resize some rings for my wedding, it comes to pick up day and I receive them and when I ask for the pieces they took off the rings the woman told me they can’t give them to me? Took my bracelet and name plate in for repair. The lady seemed irritated that I was there. When I went to pick up my bracelet the next day I noticed the weld job was not good and knew it would break in a couple days, this of course was mentioned but nothing was done about it. The weld on my name plate was very messy and bulky. 4 days later, like I mentioned would happen, my bracelet broke. Terrible job, terrible service. Just a reminder that cheaper is not always better.
