The restaurant is easy to get to right off the freeway and has free parking. This restaurant serves delicious TexMex food with a large menu and full bar. It also offers vegetarian options and three types of beans : refried, borracho and black. There are lunch specials and a happy hour menu with both food and drink offerings. The dining room is a little small but the food is good. The service can be hit or miss but even when it’s slow it’s not that bad. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Can’t really ask for more

I've driven past this place 1000 times and finally came upon it by accident looking for breakfast. Everything was amazing! Our waiter was very attentive and very friendly, and the food is incredible. The beans have a beautiful flavor, the tortillas look made in house, salsa with a nice kick...so much great flavor, it's all delicious. Can't believe I've never been here. I'll definitely be coming back.

One of my favorite Tex Mex places in Austin. It feels authentically Tex Mex. nothing fancy, but we always get great service, very reasonable prices, and everything I’ve ever eaten was delicious. It’s never too crowded either and they even have nice breakfast options! Food is always fresh and they have every Tex mex classic you could want. Also they have no problem offering gluten free options.

Cafe Hornitos was such a clean, family friendly, delicious, wallet friendly, environment. I went for the first time today and wanted to try several different items: 1)Waffles: The waffles were soo tasty and decently sized. Not super crispy but not super soft, the waffles topped with syrup is an item I recommend. 2)pancake plate: Comes with 2 pancakes, eggs, and bacon. the pancakes were very delicious as they were fluffy but were not super heavy. The bacon was perfectly crisp but not crispy, my mouth is watering as I write this. 3)Breakfast Tacos: at first glace, one would expect these tacos to be so small considering the affordable price but these tacos were medium sized but stuffed full! very very delicious.

Cafe Hornitos is definitely a restaurant I can without a doubt recommend. they also have a nice bar area for adults. I will be returning soon and I hope everyone gets the opportunity to stop by this hidden gem in the great...

As my first time going to this place, this is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I was greeted very disgustedly. As a former restaurant waitress, I'm saddened. She had on a frown when I walked in & as i was ordering. She seemed clearly agitated. I was on my lunch break and had patients to see later, so I asked for an Eta, she told me under 5ms. Hmm ok. As I waited, I asked her what's her name, & she responded rudely, "why?!" So then I said it's just for customer service purposes and she preceeded to ask why until eventually saying it's Shelly to then tell me that her uncle is the owner of the restaurant yadi yada ..i guess that was to discourage me from reporting her to the owner. Fine, I just won't ever be coming back. Also, that 5mns turned into 30 and food was absolutely horrible(oily & tasteless). Seriously, there shouldn't be businesses like this ugly looking place with such...

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT! My girlfriend looked at the reviews and she stated to me that they had a 4.7 star rating I believe she said. HOW THEY GOT THOSE REVIEWS IS BEYOND ME!!! To start off as to why am saying this... first It has AN ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HORRIBLE SMELL. I COULD BARELY STAND IT and if not for my girlfriends ever optomistic view on things I would've turned around and left IMMEDIATELY upon entering! NOW THE "AUTHENTIC" FOOD! Let me just say that when my children were young they could cook better than whoever was cooking at this location! NOTHING about this place is "AUTHENTIC" as they claim it to be. From the store bought Mission tortillas to the OVER COOKED "eggs a la Mexicana" it was JUST A WASTE OF TIME AS WELL AS A WASTE OF MONEY!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IT IS ABSOLUTELY...
