Carver Branch, Austin Public Library — Attraction in Austin

I came by here earlier this week a bit before 8PM (7:57 to be exact) to find the doors to this library already closed. The lights were dimmed and I saw 2 staff members inside. I knocked on the door/window, and they walked away. They may have even been out the door at 7:59PM. I don't know if it's for safety reasons or what, but I've never been to a library branch in Austin that closed before the posted hours. I'm sure it's frustrating to have people come in near closing time, but it seems really unprofessional and was obviously disappointing for someone who needed to run in quickly to grab a hold or something like that....

It might be one of the prettier branches but the substance leaves a lot to be desired. Outside of the kid section the offered collection is sad, their is no laptop/device accessibility to speak of, & theirs an unfriendly/snooty atmosphere that seems to pervade every corner.
