Very disappointing experience. I came in, no one greeted me. I thought maybe they were busy, so I ignored it. Someone came in shortly after me, "Hi, how are you?" from behind the counter. I said to myself ok, they just didn't see or hear me walk in even though there was a bell that sounds when you open the door. Next, I'm looking around to buy something and I see this other person walk quickly to a customer and ask, "Can I help you find anything?" Meanwhile I'm a ghost! These women were in my age range of late 40's to early 50's too. I had a question, so I excused myself from their gossiping session to ask. I had such a wonderful experience thanks to the store manager, Gina! She was so kind and polite from the moment I walked in.
I came in with a ribbon and a box, and even though Hallmark doesn’t normally do that type of service, Gina went out of her way to help me. She carefully tied the ribbon onto my box, helped me pick the perfect bag, fluffed the tissue paper, and made everything look beautiful. She took her time and put so much care into it you could tell she really wanted it to come out right.

Read moreWe arrived at the store at 5:57 PM, just three minutes before closing. The employee, Donna, seemed upset and told us the registers were already closed. When my wife and I checked the time and pointed out that the store hours go until 6:00 PM, she reconsidered and then told us we had only two minutes. We had come to the store just to pay for a backpack for our daughter.
"On top of that, she rudely asked if we had even checked the price of the backpack."
Experiences like this are one of the reasons why brick-and-mortar stores...
