FastFrame North - Custom Frame Shop — Attraction in Austin

I've been having my art and prints custom frames for years so I'm pretty familiar with the process. A new piece arrived and I reached out over the phone last week describing the size, what I wanted aesthetically, and what my budget was. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone assured me that they could meet my needs and I was excited to form a new relationship with a framer since I recently relocated to Austin.

So when I arrived today and was quoted over triple for what I spoke about on the phone I was surprised and obviously displeased. This would have been a great opportunity for the sales person/craftsman to show me other options that may better fit my budget or expectations, but it seemed pretty clear my business wasn't needed or desired.

We had 4 vintage NASA photo prints from the 70s that we wanted a unique framing solution for. We worked with Teddy to come up with a design plan to create 2 custom frames where we could both store and rotate out the prints. He was fantastic to work with and game to tackle our unconventional project. They turned out absolutely stunning, and look amazing in our baby boy’s nursery! We love how they pop on the black matte and how the torn edges have been celebrated instead of hidden. The frames are very high quality in both construction and materials.
